The crafting system in Biomutant is fun to use and is applicable to both armors and weapons. In this guide, I will take you over the aspects of crafting weapons and how to get some of the best weapons in the game. I will also go over the sub-categories of these weapons and how to modify them, to begin with. So, without further delay, let’s take a look…
Biomutant Crafting Guide – Getting The Best Weapons
In Biomutant, you are free to equip one melee and one ranged weapon of your choice. This adds flexibility to your combat. That is because you can now switch between weapons and do unique combos and damage your enemies in style. Unlocking dual-wielding weapons will engage both your hands with one single type of weapon, but if you prefer this playstyle, by all means, give it a go!
Types of Weapons (upgradable and non-upgradable)
In terms of upgrading, there are two types of weapons in Biomutant. Certain types of weapons cannot be modified and are unique weapons. Others can be modified and can be classified as normal weapons. One example of a Unique weapon that cannot be modded would be The Myriad Boomerang. One example of normal weapons that can be modified is The Singularity Squezrapster.
Sub-Categories
There are further divisions to melee and ranged weapons depending on their subcategories. These are One-handed Melee and Arms, Two-Handed Melee, and Rifles. You are also able to dual-wield these weapons depending on the correct perks for it. Rifles just like other games have Auto and Non-Auto Variants.
Attributes and Addons
Weapons Just like Armors have attributes and composition attached to them. These are Rarity, Quality, and Material. You can improve each of these by upgrading the needed parts. All weapons contain at least one add-on slot. This can only change when the weapon is Unique, otherwise, it remains the same throughout. These add-ons can be slotted anytime, with the correct parts. Some weapons, for example, The Stronkbox heals you when you slay enemies.
How To Get The Best Weapons
Acquiring weapons are not so similar to armor in Biomutant. Since you will find fewer weapons that are pre-assembled, unlike armors, crafting and upgrading become key here. You can get some of the best weapons in the game from DLCs, Defeating bosses at higher levels, world drops, and Chests. One unique way to build your own best weapon is to loot pieces of it and then create a combination that serves your playstyle very well. The better the parts the better the weapon. I would highly advise you to increase LUCK on your characters to increase the chance of getting good weapons and parts.
Crafting Guide
Crafting in Biomutant is pretty straightforward. Simply open the Craft Tab from your main menu and start crafting parts of the weapons. To craft a melee weapon, you need to simply combine one Handle and one Base Type. They can be any of the acquired ones you prefer. Note that you need both to get it classified as a melee weapon. Getting only one part is not enough to craft a melee weapon.
To build/craft a ranged weapon, you need a Grip, Muzzle, and Base Type. These are the minimum parts needed to craft it. You can add more parts to these but these are the bare minimum to build one in the first place. All of these require crafting materials/parts. The costs will of course vary from one part to the other. These are also called “Crafting Cost”. You can always swap out any of these parts for a better one later on in the game as long as you have the required part for it.
That is all I have to share in this guide on Crafting Weapons and getting the best ones in Biomutant. We also have a similar guide on Armors in Biomutant. Feel free to check it out if you want to.
