It is called the ‘Solstice of Heroes,’ and will be the last piece of major action before the new season in August. The following guide will help fans and players in gathering all the information regarding the event and what it entails.
Destiny 2: Solstice start time and date of launch
For starters, the event is called only ‘Solstice’ this time. It is an annual tradition from Bungie and generally comes around this time. This year, the Solstice of Heroes will begin on July 19, 2022, at 6 pm BST/10 am PT/ 1 pm ET.
It will follow the weekly reset of the game, and run for almost three weeks, till August 9. Players will battle it out for new rewards, badges, and prizes. Furthermore, the end of the Solstice will leave only two weeks till the start of season 18.
Destiny 2: Prizes and events in Solstice of Heroes
Bungies has already shown a peek of the Solstice’s armor set for each of the classes. Alongside them, there was also the reveal of the exclusive Hand Cannon, but without pictures.
However, it is said to be in the mold of the Better Devils Hand Cannon, though the official name is still unknown.
Players will have to finish event challenges as the only way to get these new armor pieces. Bungie has removed the option of competing in armor objectives or package consumables to get these rewards.
