With the advent of Season 18 of Destiny 2, titled ‘Season of Plunder,’ fans are loving the new content. There has been a ton of additions, including Arc 3.0 subclasses, Raids, missions, and fantastic weapons. One of the most quirky names in the last category is the Symmetry Exotic Scout Rifle.
It shoots fire-seeking Arc bolts, while also being tremendously helpful in burns situation. I am enjoying using the new reworked gun, which is a great grab for PvE and PvP combat.
Additionally, the mechanics of Season 18 has meant that Symmetry is more powerful than ever, which I am all in for.
Therefore, I have compiled the below guide for players to easily find and start using the revamped rifle.
Destiny 2: How to get Symmetry Rifle and its Catalyst
Symmetry was initially launched in Season of Dawn, but as is the case with former Exotic weapons, they are now available at The Monument of Lost Lights in the Tower.
I headed to the Shadowkeep Exotics where you will find the weapon and it will require:
- 150 Baryon Bough
- One Ascendant Shard
- 100,000 Glimmer
- One Exotic Cipher
I got the Cipher from Xur, or you can wait for the seasonal rewards too. The Shards will be tougher as they are only received from Nightfalls. However, Master Rahool can also help you out by changing 10 Enhancement Prisms to one Shard.
Coming to the Catalyst, it is unfortunate that Symmetry does not have a strong one. It can only increase the limit of Dynamic Charges to 20 from 15. If you still want to get it, here’s how to go about the process:
- Go and interact with Banshee-44 after you buy the weapon
- You will be tasked with finishing some activities 400 times
- I received a mix of Nightfalls, Crucible, Gambit, or Strikes matches
- Once you have the Catalyst, use the Symmetry to down 700 opponents, which includes those you slayed before the activity itself.
Destiny 2: Symmetry Exotic Scout Rifle Perks and Powers
As mentioned above, Season 18 has been very kind to Symmetry. You will get a new buff known as Amplified which will better your movement, weapons managing, and sliding.
Furthermore, I was also able to inflict Jolted due to the new subclasses, which conjured lightning that hurt more enemies around. Symmetry also has the Anti-Barrier Scout Rifles Mod, all of which are some great additions.
Coming to the perks, here they are:
- Particle Repeater
- Composite Stock
- Forged Rifling
- Dynamic Charge
The final one is part of the Intrinsic Trait of Revolution as well. You can press on Reload and change to Arc Seeker mode.
The rifle is fully automatic, and you can use the Seeker to track down enemies. Dynamic Charge will stack up damages, and even reload the magazine somewhat from what I found.
Thus, there are a lot of things to love about the Symmetry Exotic Scout Rifle now. Bungie has done a great job in upgrading a fun weapon, and I have been impressed.
Of course, there are a lot of contenders in the game, but this one was a real treat for me, and could be for you as well.
