FIX 1

- Search “View Events” in the search bar of windows.
- Now Launch the game and locate the last event that occurred there.
- If the game did not launch for you, an error will be described there.
- Click on “More Details” to find out exactly which file caused the error.
- For some players, it can be an error with a DLL file called “avsspc.dll”
- For this particular error or any other Missing DLL files follow the next steps.
- Search for Command Prompt in the Windows Search bar.
- Launch it as admin and type “sfc /scannow” without quotes, then press enter to start the scan and repair process.
- The process can take up to 10 mins. Let it complete and restart your PC.
Alternate method (optional)
Since this method contains downloading DLL files, do this from official or trusted websites as most of the advertised DLL files contain viruses. User discretion is advised!
- Alternatively, you can also download the missing DLL file from their official websites.
- If this did not work for you, updating your OS drivers to the latest ones can also help.
- Usually, the Updating/Removal of the Error File should fix the Launch issues for you.
FIX 2
If the problem persists, try verifying the game files from the Steam launcher. In order to do that, right-click on the game launcher, go to properties and click on the Local Files Tab.
Now click on verify the integrity of game files from there. If there are any missing or corrupted files, it will automatically download them from the steam servers.
FIX 3
Try to change the windows compatibility mode to Windows 7 and test it like that. This method has worked for some players, so give this a go as well.
In order to do this, right-click on the game launcher from the desktop and click on properties. Go to the Compatibility” Tab and change the Compatibility Mode to Windows 7 or 8.
FIX 4
Updating DirectX for Doom eternal can also fix the game for you. To do this, Right-Click on the game launcher and locate the game files. Among the game files, you should find a “DirectX” Folder. Open that folder and run the DirectX setup.
Let it complete and you are all done! Also, open the CommonRedist folder and set up the two executable files inside there. One should be X64 and another one should be X32.
Note that this is a unique Crash/Launch fix for those who have tried all the general lag, crash and launch fixes. If the problem still persists with you, contact the developers here.
