This guide involves the best optimization and graphics settings for Escape From Tarkov (EFT). Performance increase will be the main objective of the guide.
In-game optimizations for Escape From Tarkov
The Tweaks and in-game settings, shown below, will increase FPS and run the game smoothly.
Best in-game graphics settings for Escape From Tarkov (EFT)
- Overall Graphics Quality – Low (Gives me a good performance since EFT is mostly an online game)
- Texture Quality – High (Visuals look great and I do not face any FPS drops as such)
- Shadow Quality – High (EFT needs you to keep shadows so that you can spot enemies)
- Object LOD Quality – 2 (Lowest)
- Overall Visibility – 2000
- Shadow Visibility – 40 (Lowest)
- Antialiasing – TAA (This removes those jagged edges from the game)
- Resampling – 1x off
- HBAO – Off
- SSR – Off (Screen Space Reflection is not needed that much for EFT)
- Anisotropic Filtering – Off
- Sharpness – 1.1
- Lobby FPS limit – 60
- Game FPS limit – 120 (120 FPS is good enough for me since I tested this game on a 144Hz Monitor)
- Z-Blur – Disabled
- Chrom. Abberation – Disabled
- Noise – Disabled
- Grass Shadows – Disabled
- Screen Resolution – Native
- Fullscreen Mode – Borderless Fullscreen (Since I ALT-TAB a lot, Borderless Fullscreen helps me to do it smoothly)
- Aspect Ratio – Native
- Vsync – Off (If you do not face screen tearing, and have a 60Hz monitor, you can turn this on, however, this will cause some amount of input lag)
NOTE: If you face any issues in Borderless Fullscreen, switch it to Fullscreen only.
