Best In-Game Graphics Settings for FIFA 23

This time around, FIFA has integrated the graphics settings inside the game only. Usually, they pop up in a Launch window where you can change the settings from there.

Now all you need to do is launch the game, go to Customize, then Settings, and head over to Game Settings. Go to Display Configuration and you will be able to make some changes to the games’ graphics settings from there.

Resolution

2560 x 1440 (16:9) – Usually, I keep my resolution to the native one for my monitor. I highly recommend that you keep this setting to your native one to avoid any performance or FPS drops. If you are running an entry-level card, try a lower resolution. The game may look blurry, but you will get decent FPS.

Display Mode

Fullscreen – Keep this to fullscreen, unless you want to tab out a lot! The main thing to note here is that the game gives you HDR by default.

It is recommended by the game, that you turn on HDR for Windows to avail of this feature. I keep this off for better performance.

Frame Rate

Unlimited or Uncapped – This is the best setting to use if you want to get decent frame rates with a good setup. If you are facing jitters or frame spikes, try to cap this to your monitor’s native refresh rate. That should help you stabilize the framerates.

Dynamic Resolution Scale

OFF – I tend to keep this off since I have optimized my settings for performance. If you turn this ON the resolution scaling will change on the fly to improve performance.

Strand-Based Hair

ON – This option can be a bit demanding on your system but you can keep it on for a better visual experience. This is up to personal preference.

Rendering Quality

High – This is the render quality of the image or graphics that will be produced in-game. I highly recommend you keep this to Medium or High for the best experience.

Set this to Low, only if you have something like a 1660, 1050Ti, and I3 or I5 processor. Otherwise, keep it to High or even Ultra depending on personal preference.

The Operating System I used is a Ryzen 5 5600x. The RAM in use was 32GB in Size which was of DDR4 type. The graphics card in question is the RTX 3060TI FE.

I always like to use an NVME M.2 SSD as my preferred storage. Windows 10 was my software or OS in question to support FIFA 23.

Peripherals in Use:

  • HyperX Core Alloy Origin Keyboard
  • Odyssey G7 240Hz Monitor
  • Razer Blackshark V2 pro wireless Headset
  • Logitech Superlight Pro Gaming Mouse
  • I use Liquid cooling for my CPU so you should keep that in mind while testing your system. Heating can cause the system to run slower and hinder performance.

Results and Tips for More FPS

Ross Barkley FIFA 23

I was getting an average of 120-115 FPS during the entire gameplay. The cinematics were locked to 75 – 72 FPS for me. It was not going beyond that. I am guessing that it has to do with the default setting for FIFA 23.

Try to turn down the graphics to Low or Medium. Remove the Hair Texture option and you should be fine with the game and easily get 60 FPS even with an entry-level system. These are my recommended settings for the following setups:

  • Processors – i3 8th Gen, i5 8th Gen, Ryzen 5 Series (Non-OC or X), and anything 8th to 10th Gen based processor.
  • GPU – GTX 1050Ti, GTX 1660, GTX 1650, RTX 2060, and similar Graphics Cards.

If you have these setups, you should play the game at a medium setting with Hair Textures being Off. Also, Try to put the NVIDIA settings to Performance.

This will help with the FPS of the game in general. Here are some more general tips to increase FPS in FIFA 23:

  • Windows HDR – Turn this OFF by searching for it on the Windows Search Bar and Toggling it OFF.
  • Compatibility Mode – Set the Compatibility Mode for FIFA 23 by right-clicking on the icon and setting it from there.
  • Admin Mode – Always run the game as Admin.

NVIDIA Settings – Simply set this to performance mode. There is no need to tweak the in-depth setting for NVIDIA since you may need it for other games too.

You can, however, set certain settings for FIFA 23 only from there. This is Personal Preference. The same goes for AMD users also. Since I do not use an AMD Card I cannot tell you the details.

FIFA fans have buckled up for the latest installment of their franchise known as FIFA 23. This year, the developers promise more dynamics, graphics, and some cutting-edge additions to the much-awaited sports game known as FIFA 23.

If you want to enjoy the game in all of its graphics glory, knowing the best options and settings can make or break your experience.

If you follow the above settings and tips carefully, you should not have any issues with the game. The game has not crashed or lagged a single time for me so I am guessing that the game is optimized from the get-go.

The only real option here is the Rendering Quality which you can set as per your system and requirements.

That is all from this guide. If you face any issues during or after the settings or have any general questions, do comment down below. I will try to help you to the best of my knowledge. Thanks for reading!
