GoW Ragnarok: Sigil Arrows and Transferring Frost – Helheim Puzzle

There is a Helheim puzzle that involves transferring frost from a certain object to a gate’s lock so that the gate can be lifted for Kratos and Atreus to pass through.

In that regard, the following guide will help players understand how to transfer frost and what needs to be done with the Sigils.

God of War Ragnarok: How to transfer frost using Sigils

Whether it be destroying river objects or getting the Muspelheim Seed Half, a lot of major plot points have a number of puzzles during their journey, which you will need to get on top of if you want to succeed.

The use of Sigils is highly important in God of War Ragnarok, and it shows its importance in the first phases of Helheim while solving a new type of puzzle.

As players are already familiar by now, the game is riddled with mysteries that need ingenuity and smart thinking to get past them.

Kratos and Atreus will reach a locked gate with a wheel-shaped lock to the left. There are chains beside the lock above the gate which contain frost. Players will realize that turning the wheel will raise the gate, allowing access.

The problem is that the wheel has to be held in place in order for someone to cross the gate. This is why there needs to be a solution that fixes the gate to the lock while in a raised position so both Kratos and Atreus can pass through to the other side.

There are chains to the left of the lock where Atreus will fire Sigils, interlinking them as shown below.

You will notice that the lock will glow twice before being under the Sigil. Once that is done, Kratos will move over to the wheel and turn it, which lifts up the gate.

Now that the lock and gate are in front of each other throw Kratos’ axe at the leftmost Sigil to start the chain reaction as indicated in the image.

This will ensure that the frost present on the chains gets transferred to the lock and gate combination, with the latter now fixed.

After that is done, both of you will be able to pass through the passage below and onto the other side, where there are a bunch of enemies waiting for you who need to be taken care of.

Another point to keep in mind is that players will have to hold the wheel in place while they are throwing the axe, meaning you cannot move to a different point during this period. If you do, the gate will fall down again, and you need to start the process again.

Thus, that is all the information players will need when it comes to using Sigils for transferring frost. The process is easy once you know what needs to be done, and the formation of linked Sigils should be closely connected together so that they are able to hold the gate in place after you have thrown the axe to start the reaction.
