You don’t have to join their party when you run into other players in the open world to offer assistance, look into a hidden jumping puzzle, or join forces with them to take on a dangerous world boss. Play how you want to play; don’t grind! You will gain experience points whether you revive defeated players, save soldiers from a Risen assault, or harvest herbs.

Observing events/disabling personal story
ESC-menu – option – general options – Content Guide: Disable Personal Story. When an event is taking place close to you, your mini map will show an orange location.

You can use the p key to redo the ready status if you are a member of a squad and, for some reason, don’t have the ready check enabled.
/wiki
When you input /wiki in the chat, your default web browser launches the GW2 wiki. The wiki will already conduct a search for any additional words that you supply such as /wiki armor.
Purchase materials when crafting
If you run out of materials in the middle of crafting, you can click “buy more” from the context menu by right-clicking on the material’s icon. You can now purchase the material if it is offered at the auction house.
You still have to walk to the trading post or auction house, but since you already have everything you need, you don’t have to remember anything.
