Hogwarts Legacy: How To Get Flying Broom

The newly introduced Hogwarts Legacy is taking all the wizards and witches amongst us to their next big game. Set 200 years before the events in the Harry Potter films, players are tasked with taking on various challenges across Hogwarts and the related locations.

This open-world adventure offering from Avalanche also has the Fan Club, where you can get some fun items to stand out from the crowd. Nevertheless, one of the main ingredients in any wizarding game is the flying broom, and this is how to get on in Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy: How to get Flying Broom

Before moving on to how to get Flying Broom, players must learn how to fly first. This is done through the Flying Class mission as part of the main storyline. It is unlocked immediately after finishing the Jackdaw’s Rest quest in Hogwarts Legacy.

You will have to visit the Flying Class Lawn Foo Flame present around the Bell Tower Wing to get started.

Hogwarts Legacy - Flying class

The quest will teach you how to fly with a broom, including going fast and moving around at different angles. Additionally, there will be guidance provided by Everett Clopton, enabling you to learn more tricks and better control of the broom as you fly high.

Once you land back on the ground after the whistle goes, it will be the quest’s end, and now you can purchase your own Flying Broom.

Players have to journey to Hogsmeade and meet Albie Weekes, the shop owner of Spintwitches Sporting Needs. This store will be unlocked as soon as you finish Flying Class. There will be three to four types of broom, each priced at 600 Galleons.

You will also get the chance to partake in a side quest of doing time trials with your new broom to test it for Albie Weekes, who will offer you enhancements. For this, players must meet up with Imelda Reyes on the Quidditch Pitch, who will take it further.

Hogwarts Legacy: Where and how to fly

There are certain areas in the game where flying is prohibited. This includes inside Hogwarts and Hogsmeade as the two most prominent inclusions. If you spot a “no-flyingicon beside your mini-map, you will not be able to get on your broom there.

To use your Flying Broom, press L1+Circle (PS5) and LB+B (XBOX). You are now on your broom, flying into the sky, and here are the controls that players have to keep in mind (PS5):

  • R2: You will need to hold it to get to flight speed and leave when slowing down
  • Left thumb stick or L3: It gives you flight directions in the air. You can click on L3 separately to jump in between flight speeds.
  • L2: You will get a quick speed for a short period, as indicated by the meter to your right.
  • Right thumb stick or R3: Move up to go higher or down to lower.
  • Circle: Hold for a while to get off the broom.

Thus, that is all the information players will need to get the Flying Broom in Hogwarts Legacy. It is a very straightforward process that happens as the game progresses typically. You will not need to do anything special or unique to learn the skills and start soaring into the sky.
