How To Beat Lightbearer Knight in Destiny 2 Season of The Risen

Me and my fireteam selected Legend from the choice (Brave or Legend) and proceeded with the campaign for Season of The Risen (S16). While doing the campaign, you will come across a boss called the Lightbearer Knight. This post will explain to you, how to defeat him in the first place.

Lightbearer Knight is the hive boss that you will face while you play the main campaign for the Season of The Risen. He appears like any normal hive boss you may have faced in the past, but he has some tricks up his sleeve:

  • To start with, he uses a Titan (Void) ability called Shield Throw.
  • This can two-shot you at power level 1360.
  • Be wary of this since this can even one-shot
  • you with a lower armor value.

The next stage involves slaying him for the first time. After you slay Lightbearer Knight for the first time, your ghost will prompt you that something is wrong and that the knight may not be dead. He comes back to life after this.

Now your second round will start with the Lightbearer Knight and you will have to slay him for the second time. After you take him down, you will be prompted with the following line:

  • Press G (by default) or your Finisher Button: When standing nearby, finish the ghosts of Defeated Hive Lightbearers.

Interact with the ghost as shown in the image below:

It will show you an animation in which you grab the Lightbearer Ghost and smash it with your palms. After doing that, the game will show you that you have successfully defeated The Lightbearer Knight in Destiny 2.

If you are unlucky, he will get resurrected again and you will have another go at him. Do this until you have given the Finisher to the ghost. That will mean that you have now defeated Lightbearer Knight in the game.
