How To Change Your Name In Overwatch 2

You can alter your name online if you’ve outgrown your Overwatch 2 username or want something new. Any Blizzard game, including Overwatch 2, will automatically utilize your BattleTag from Battle.net as your username. By reading this article, learn how to alter your name in Overwatch 2.

How To Change Username In Overwatch 2

Overwatch 2, the sequel to the hugely successful first-person shooter Overwatch, is now available for free. Players now need to pay for skins, souvenirs, and several other insignificant goods instead of purchasing them first and then buying cosmetics.

Reviews of the game’s second release have been mixed, with many criticizing the decision to deviate from the original game and excessive monetization. You must edit your BattleTag on the Blizzard.net website to modify your name in Overwatch 2. Do the following now:

Steps To Follow:

  • Open your Battle.net account and log in.
  • Select your username (right corner)
  • Choose the ‘Account Settings’ option.
  • Then select “Account Details” (left-side menu)
  • To update the BattleTag choice, scroll down and select it.
  • Enter the bar with your new username.
  • For the modification to take effect, click “Change Your BattleTag.”

As an alternative, you can modify it in the Battle.net launcher. To do this, click on your username, choose “View Account,” and proceed as directed above, beginning with the “Account Details” step. It’s important to remember that changing your username is only accessible once.

After the initial edit, each further modification will cost you $10. The update may take up to 24 hours and will apply to all Blizzard games on your account, not just Overwatch 2. Decide cautiously, and maybe stay away from seasonal or time-sensitive names unless you’re willing to pay an extra $10 to change it back after the event.

Is Overwatch 2 Playable on MAC?

Although it won’t stop people from playing it, many Mac players are curious about if they can play Overwatch 2. Although it is supported on most other gaming platforms, Overwatch 2 does not work on Mac. You can still run Overwatch 2 through Bootcamp if you have an Intel Mac.

However, the only option to run Overwatch 2 on a newer M1 or M2 Mac is through a streaming service, which is our least preferred way to run a Windows game on a Mac. However, Battlenet will be ineffective due to the game’s lack of Mac support. But this raises the question of whether Overwatch 2 will ever be released on the Mac.

Sadly, Overwatch’s principal engineer, Tim Ford, said: “We do not intend to release this game for Mac. We haven’t pursued it because many Apple technological choices have made it challenging for us to release Overwatch how we want it to be consumed.”

As a result, it appears that Overwatch 2 will not be released for Mac anytime soon. If you’re still itching to play, you can use one of the most popular gaming platforms, a streaming service, or a Windows emulator. However, these aren’t remarkably dependable and can impact how well the game runs.
