Hey guys I’m Spider Monkey and welcome back to another Icarus guide. Today we’re going to be talking about the mission Kill List: Extermination in the game Icarus.

ICARUS is a session-based PvE survival game for up to eight co-op players or solo. In this particular mission you will meet Shakur the Sleeper who you have to defeat to clear the mission. So let’s go ahead and get started.

Kill List: Extermination Mission Guide For Icarus

Which Weapons You Need

When you drop in, we recommend that if you’re playing alone, you get yourself a couple of good weapons and get some decent Armor to deal with the boss at the end of this level.

However if you are playing in multiplayer, you can probably get away with some decent bows and knives. You could even do it with stone in the starting ones, but I think it’s at least worth getting up to the iron knives.

As you’re gonna be doing quite a bit of melee here. Or iron spears too and whatever you prefer and at least getting yourself some long bows.

Locations

Now once you are set and you are ready to go, you will need to go to this location and examine some claw marks:

They’re gonna look like this:

Just in case you can’t find them then you will need to go to the second one which is located here and looks like blood with some small animal tracks:

The third one you’re going to need is located here and is a pile of dead animal bones:

The last one is located here and you must go to it at night:

Therefore if there is anything you want to do beforehand, such as maybe cooking some meat to heal yourself during the boss battle, now would be the time to do it. Because once you’re there and it’s nightfall, the boss battle is going to start.

How To Do The Boss Fight

Now after the fight does start, you will need to do enough damage to the boss to cause him to go and hide a couple of times before you’re able to finish him off each and every time he hides.

He’s going to heal a little bit of HP.

It’s also worth noting that anytime he comes out of his little hidey hole, he’s going to get a couple of adds that will spawn with him to help deal damage to you.

These are just regular wolves though, so I wouldn’t worry too much about them.

Because if you are decent at the game or you have a couple of friends, you can always have them focus on that, while you focus on the boss or kite him around because he does move rather slow.

What To Do After The Boss Fight

Now after you have finally defeated the boss, if you care you can skin him, but you’re going to need at least an iron knife of rarity or you’re gonna need an exotic knife that has tier two.

Whatever it is if you wanna skin it you can, it really doesn’t give you anything since at this point you are essentially done with the mission.

You can get some prime meat out of it if you care, but otherwise go ahead and head back to your pod and finish your mission.

About Icarus

ICARUS is a session-based PvE survival game for up to eight co-op players. Endure a savage alien wilderness on Icarus, humanity’s greatest mistake. Survive its brutal environment as you explore, harvest, craft and hunt while seeking your fortune.

From their orbital station, prospectors drop to the planet surface for limited time sessions, where they learn to endure the alien environment, complete faction missions and search for valuable exotic materials.

Those that survive return to orbit as seasoned veterans, converting their exotics into advanced technology, and taking on ever more challenging drops with newfound knowledge.

Those that get left behind… are lost forever.

Icarus was once destined to be a second Earth, but when terraforming collapsed – the air turned toxic and humanity’s hopes of colonizing a new world died.

Icarus became a joke, a symbol of humanity reaching for the stars and failing.

Yet when xeno-biologists discovered the cause of the failure – exotic matter – new interest was ignited.

Valuable beyond reckoning, these ‘exotics’ sparked a gold rush, fuelling political tensions on Earth, and bringing prospectors flocking to Icarus.
