System Specifications To Test Game

In the name of the Testing rig, I have an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with a 3.6GHz of clock speed. The Memory I like to use is 8gigs of 4 RAM Sticks from XPG. The Graphics Card in use is an NVIDIA GTX 1660 6GB.

The Storage I use is an SSD with M.2 Type having 500GB of space. I tend to use Windows 10 64Bit for all my game testing unless I feel to need to switch to older gen systems to help out other players.

I also have an RIG which contains an i3 8100 and a GTX 1050TI with a total of 16GB of RAM. The reason I did not test out New World for this rig is that the game is too much for these specs to handle.

If you request me exclusively to test that out and let you know, do mention that in the comments below. I might give it a go after that.

Terrain Details Comparison (Medium vs Low Settings)

This is something new that I tried for New World. I saw that the Terrain Details make a significant part of the game. So, I decided to compare the Terrain details for Medium and Low Settings. Here are the results that I Found Out:

new world medium vs low settings

As you can see from the above images, there is a tiny amount of difference between The Medium and Low Terrain Details Settings. I tried these settings in a dynamic environment also where the vegetation moves due to wind. Even then the visual difference is a small amount.

If I talk about Framerates, I was getting a decent boost of about 4FPS as compared to the medium settings. The exact count will be 88FPS vs 92FPS. Hence I decided that the Low settings were the way to go for this one. The rest of the settings are already shown in the video and the above subheading.

Results and Tips After Graphics Test

I was getting a steady 90-94 FPS when the environment was less “noisy”. By noise I mean the number of elements I could see on screen. When that was going up, the FPS dropped to the lowest of 74-76FPS.

Other than that, I faced no issues and the game ran smoothly for most parts. I would not recommend that you try this game on a 1050TI and an i3 8th or older version. Sticking to the recommended specs will help you the most.

If you are struggling with FPS. Lower the Texture details to Low also, and turn on Vsync if you are facing screen tearing. for PvP, I will recommend that you put the settings too low just to be safe.

The game is causing some issues with the system. In that case, make sure everything is up-to-date including The BIOS of your system. If you are facing black screen issues particularly related to BIOS, do check the article here.

Windows and Panel Tweaks

Conclusion

New World makes you explore an open-world MMO filled with danger and opportunity. In this game, you play as an adventurer shipwrecked on the supernatural island of Aeternum.

You will gear yourself up to fight, forage, and forge in this world’s wilderness and ruins. You can Channel supernatural forces or wield deadly weapons in a classless, real-time combat system, and fight alone, with a small team, or in massed armies for PvE and PvP battles. Overall the game promises a lot when it comes to pure MMO action!

That is all I had to share for this guide on the best settings you can do for New World on PC. The last section is a routine for a lot of sites and they list the clearing this, and turn off that for all games.

But for this game, every ounce of performance is important, so I decided to list them. Otherwise, I do not write the obvious tweaks that you must do for any game regardless of the title. Thanks for reading, and I will see you soon with more New World Content.
