The new Outriders Worldslayer has been heavily touted as the future of the online looting genre. It aims to compete with the Destiny franchise, and though there were problems after its launch, the game has been running smoothly for now.
There is a new Apocalypse Tiers system, alongside unique endgame content. It is called the Trial of Tarya Gratar, and promises immense rewards for players who take it on. There are a number of bosses in this arena, and players have to be careful in how they go about defeating them.
The final boss in the Trial of Tarya Gratar is the Arbiter of Descent, who will be a formidable challenge for even seasoned veterans. Players will have to be extremely mindful of their approach against Arbiter of Descent as he is a handful for all types of squads.
The following guide will help players in battling the Arbiter of Descent and defeating him.
Outriders Worldslayer: Choosing the right gear
Given that the Arbiter of Descent is the last boss in the entire game, players will have to don the best armour available to them. Furthermore, make sure to go looking for additional gear if the current build is not up to the mark.
Legendary Gear will work best in these circumstances, for it allows players to have the best attacks, and make sure you are going in a group. Playing solo against Arbiter of Descent will be a death knell for you.
Outriders Worldslayer: How to defeat Arbiter of Descent
As mentioned above, make sure that you are in a group while battling him. This will be crucial as his abilities are far stronger than any other boss you have faced up to that point.
He has a giant axe, which he wields and swings continuously. Arbiter of Descent jumps around and smashes everything around him. Therefore, the best way to battle this boss is to make use of ranged attacks so you are at a safe distance away. However, Arbiter of Descent will try and get you close to him, but always stay mobile and run away as soon as the chance arises.
Another worry for the players is the spawning of Dark Haze fields all over the arena during the battle. Make sure to avoid them as much as possible, because you will get rooted to them upon touching. That will make your movements slow and take damage easily from the boss.
The other attacks that the boss uses are making a spawn of himself, who charges straight at the player with axe. However, you can dodge it easily, provided you are not present in the Dark Haze fields.
Another attack is spawning Tribute Clone, who form Dark Hives. They are a big worry for the players, who have to keep moving around in order to fire at them constantly.
The final attack of Arbiter of Descent is an AoE one, Dark Armaments. This attacks covers the arena, so you will have to jump over it in order to avoid. They are marked by a red border, so you will be able to spot them.
Once you have defeated the Arbiter of Descent, the prizes are one of three Apocalypse armour pieces. It depends on what class you are playing with, and the options are Footwear of Terminal Velocity Shoes, The Messenger Assault Rifle, or the Explosive Temper Helm.
