Overwatch 2 - Halloween Event

Overwatch 2: What to know about Junkenstein’s Revenge as a Halloween event

The Halloween spectacle will be the curtain raiser in terms of seasonal activities given that the game just came out. Its full name is Junkenstein’s Bride: Wrath of Bride and it is totally free for all players who have Overwatch 2. The spectacle will start on October 25 and go on till November 8. Understandably, Blizzard has kept the exact details private but some information is in the public domain surrounding what can be expected as new experiences.

It is a PvE event that will be divided into four-member teams where you take on scores of enemies and opponents who have the sole aim of crushing you into oblivion.

Therefore, you have to survive for the maximum amount of time possible alongside your teammates making sure that a special structure is guarded at all times so that no bad presence can get through. You will be attacked from all sides by Dr. Junkenstein and her army which you have to fend off to the best of your capabilities.

There have been some whispers that Sombra as she is the eponymous bride in the game, but it has not been accepted or rejected by Blizzard who have been mum so far on this topic. However, given that the PvE content in the first Overwatch started with this, and the PvE in the current game is going to come later than expected, players will no doubt be itching to get their hands on this Halloween special.

Another thing that is expected to carry over from the original Overwatch is the restriction on the usage of characters during the special event. It is likely that you will only be able to partake using a single character which will boost how your builds work in a team.

When it came to the prequel, the developers held it on a changed-up version of the map of Eichenwalde. However, Overwatch 2 is set to have a new map or an elongated kind of the same as the game goes on.

Overwatch 2: Which characters can be played with and what are awards?

As expected, the game has leaned towards the characters who are making their debuts in Overwatch 2. They include Kiriko, Ashe, Sojourn, and of course, the Junker Queen herself. Blizzard wants to place emphasis on the special entries which are natural.

There have already been glimpses of skins that are suited for Sojourn, Kiriko, and Junker Queen. Sojourn has been blessed with neon-colored detective skin, the Junker Queen gets metallic skin which is shrouded in mystery, and Kiriko has received a witch-style skin. The Battle Pass system makes sure that there will be a new type of reward given to the players. It used to be the in-game currency that commanded the most value. Blizzard has done away with the concept of loot boxes so that is another surprise that will be revealed. Of course, you will only be getting the specific prizes as long as the event is live.

Thus, that is all for the Halloween special bonanza festival of Overwatch 2. There are many details that will be revealed as time goes on but fans are super excited for the big day as it approaches.
