Pokemon SV | Weakness And Counters Of All Fairy Type Pokemon

Both offensively and defensively, the Fairy Type in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is strong. It takes less damage from numerous types while effectively damaging Pokémon of the Dark, Dragon, and Fighting types. The Team Star Leader, Ortega, leverages the high Base Power of many Fairy moves to his team’s advantage in battle. All of these Fairy Type flaws have Pokémon Scarlet & Violet equivalents.

How To Counter Fairy Type Pokemon In Scarlet & Violet

When playing Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, players can select from 18 different Pokémon types, and Fairy-type Pokémon are among the greatest to have on your squad. In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, there are 28 Fairy-type creatures, with eight of them only recently released.

The most recent Fairy-type Pokémon include Tinkatink, Tinkaton, Tinkatuff, Dachsbun, Fidough, Flutter Mane, Iron Valiant, and Scream Tail.

In addition to being adorable, Fairy-type Pokémon is renowned for having magical and paranormal abilities. Their capacity to purify things is one of their unique abilities. Fairy-type Pokémon are vulnerable to Poison and Steel-type attacks and are most effective against Dark, Dragon, and Fighting-type adversaries.

Fairy Pokémon can typically learn Moonblast or Play Rough, which are pretty powerful. Even though they don’t deal incredibly effective damage, both of these moves will still inflict much damage when they hit.

In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, what are the greatest ways to combat Fairy Types?

Pokémon of the fairy type has two weaknesses:

  • Poison – 2x
  • Steel – 2x

Fairy Pokémon are immune to dragon attacks. Thus, they won’t be hurt by them. When transformed into a move of the Dragon Type, this functions exceptionally well.

Fairy Type Pokémon will deal extremely efficient damage to three distinct types:

  • Dragon – 2x
  • Dark – x2
  • Fighting – 2x

Additionally, they have high defenses and will suffer less damage from:

  • Fire – 1/2
  • Fighting – 1/2
  • Dark – 1/2

Countering Fairy-Type Pokemon

Most Fairy Pokémon are also capable of learning Grass and Psychic techniques, enabling them to deal with Rock, Ground, and Water Pokémon and Poison, which they are vulnerable to.

When encountering Fairy Pokémon like Hydreigon or Hariyama, players should be aware that both Dragon and Fighting Type Pokémon will learn moves that counter Fairy Pokémon.

Due to their resistance to Fairy Type attacks and several of their learned moves, Kingambit and Gholdengo are excellent counters to Fairy Types. Kingambit is resistant to the Grass attacks that Fairy Type Pokémon typically learn, but it still takes average damage from Fairy moves.

It can deliver a ton of damage with its Steel techniques while impervious to the psychic activities they usually learn.
