Ragnarok Origin Best Classes for PvP and PvE⇓

I will be showing the best classes you should pick for both PVP and PVE content so that it becomes easier for you to select. I have explained them in details in a later section. his is just a short version.

Best PvP Classes⇓

  1. Merchant – Blacksmith – Blacksmith
  2. Archer – Hunter
  3. Acolyte – Priest or Knight – Swordsman

Best PvE Classes⇓

  1. Swordsman – Knight or the Acolyte – Priest
  2. Merchant – Blacksmith – Blacksmith
  3. Archer – Hunter

Best Classes and Job Overview Explained⇓

Swordman – Knight

RO origin swordman

Swordsman/knight is pretty much your melee damage dealer. There is another class that goes into the crusader class but I don’t believe those are unlocked for us yet. Hopefully, in the future, we will have the ability to switch to that job. Crusader is more of a tanky way to play the knight.

It is a really good character early game and also has the ability that taunts the enemy. All around is a really good early game damage dealer as well as a solid tank for PvE.

Hence this ends up being a highly recommended class because everybody is going to need a Knight in a dungeon run or in a party.

Also, the Knight is one of the fairly easier classes to play so if you’re fairly new to the game or new to the mobile gaming world then this is a good class that I would suggest for you to pick.

A pretty solid class to pick for PVP as well. Not amazing but not horrible either.

Acolyte – Priest

RO origin acolyte priest

Next up we got the acolyte which goes into the priest. This is going to be your main healing class and is highly recommended for PvE.

I would say the acolyte/priest is probably the best PvE class in the game. I would even consider placing it above the swordsman/knight.

Keep it in mind that everyone’s going to need a healer that goes hand in hand with pretty much any game that you play that has classes that heal you and also have buffs.

This class also helps your teammates to increase some of their stats while you can heal. You can pretty much do everything you want and also be a tanky healer.

You are also able to put out some decent damage. I would say the priest is one of the strongest classes in the game.

Not a bad pick for PvP also. When building out this class you’re going to want to focus on intelligence, dexterity, and vitality if you want to have a tanky healer build.

Mage – Wizard

RO origin mage

next up we have the mage which goes into the wizard. This is your basic magic damage dealer. Here you have fire damage, water damage, and you have an AoE thunderstorm that does
thunder damage as well.

This is pretty self-explanatory it’s quite similar to any other mage that you find in any other game. You’re going to want to stay in the back to do damage

Focus on building out your intelligence and dexterity again as well,  so that way your level doesn’t fall too far behind. The SP is basically our magic power so take note of that as well.

One thing that I should state is that this class has a drawback. How you may ask? Well, the wizard has some longer cast times for their abilities as opposed to some of the other classes.

For PvE, this is another amazing class.

There’s probably going to be a lot of people that pick the mage just because it’s a raw damage dealer. For PVP I would say it’s not the greatest.

I personally would just stay away from the mage if you’re strictly going for PVP content

Thief – Assassin

RO origin thief assassin

We got the thief into the assassin class. This is again very similar to a lot of the other assassin classes that you would see. Here I would suggest focusing on your strength and agility.

This means that you’re going to be doing a lot of melee physical damage and increasing your agility. This means you will increase your attack speed so that way you can just attack faster.

Another thing though is that the assassin class focuses a lot on poisoning the enemies. They also have a sneak ability that kind of makes you go invisible and then you can catch your
opponent off guard.

There’s a lot of tricks to it so you can call it the trickster class because there’s a lot of cool little features like that that you can do.

You’re going to be moving around a lot trying to just annoy your opponent as much as possible. Not bad for PvE and pretty good for PVP because you can do a lot of crit damage

Merchant – Blacksmith

RO origin mercenary blacksmith

Merchant into the blacksmith is a pretty interesting character because it doesn’t necessarily do a lot of damage early on.

In fact, it almost feels like it’s not a class at all just because its early game is pretty poor. But the late game is when the blacksmith is an absolute beast. It just destroys everything fairly well.

For PVP I would say the blacksmith is probably the number one for late the game once you get your blacksmith leveled up and get two different builds.

You have a Melee build and then you also have a long-ranged build. One of the best things about the blacksmith is that you have the ability to get rich. You can buy things in the market at a discounted price and you can sell things for more than what they’re actually worth.

This is probably my favorite part about the blacksmith.

My personal suggestion would be the blacksmith as starting class because I just think it’s amazing and has a lot of utility.

The explanation for this is quite simple. The first thing is you will be having a lot of money, and the late-game damage is excellent for it as well.

Archer – Hunter

RO origin archer

Archer is your typical ranged damage dealer. you fire arrows and do damage to enemies in an accurate fashion. Make sure to focus on dexterity and agility so that way you can shoot faster increasing your attack speed.

This is a class suggested for those players who are willing to spend some bucks. Because the in early game, the archer/hunter archer into the hunter can be pretty weak.

To strengthen it, try to get really good equipment. Once you get really good equipment the archer hunter is an amazing class. This class does one of the top Damages in the game.

For Late game, you can build out the sharpshooting class and you will become an insane damage dealer. This class is good for both PvE and PvP.

Best Class for PvP⇓

I highly suggest that if you want to excel in PvP, go with Merchant/Blacksmith – Blacksmith. This should be the topmost preference.

Then I would suggest Archer/Hunter for a later game and then finally I would suggest the Acolyte/Priest or Knight/Swordsman. The sequence should be like this:

  1. Merchant/Blacksmith – Blacksmith
  2. Archer/Hunter
  3. Acolyte/Priest or Knight/Swordsman

These are just my personal suggestions and they can be different from yours so keep that in mind while reading. You can comment down the changes you would make for the same build.

I will share my input with you as well.

Best Class for PvE⇓

For PvE content focus on the Swordsman/Knight or the Acolyte/Priest first! Then you can follow the same order as I mentioned in the PvP. Just swap places with the Knight/Swordsman and you should be doing well in PvE.

The sequence for PvE should be like this:

  1. Swordsman/Knight or the Acolyte/Priest
  2. Merchant/Blacksmith – Blacksmith
  3. Archer/Hunter

You can then lead that into healer class and then archer as well. Either of these works, but just take note of the first and foremost preference. That is all you need to look for here!
