Resident Evil Village | Best PC Graphics Settings for FPS

Resident Evil Village is the latest installment from the franchise, as they dive deeper into the Horror Genre. In this guide, I will be going over the best PC Graphics settings for the game. It will hopefully enable you to enjoy the game at a smoother frame rate with decent performance. As I say in my Graphics settings posts, make sure you meet the minimum system requirements for the game. Also, cross-reference with my system specs to have a better idea of how the game will perform in your system. I have constructed this guide keeping the demo in mind, so if there are any changes, I will update this post as soon as possible.

My System Specifications used to Test

  • OS: Windows 10 64-Bit
  • Processor: Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory: 32 GB DDR4 (3000MHz)
  • Graphics: GTX 1650 Super & 1660 6GB
  • DirectX Version: 12
  • Storage: M.2 SSD 500 GB

NOTE: Using a capture card resulted in NO FPS Drops in the game which is a major plus point. While testing or trying it out, keep this in mind.

Results and Conclusion

Using a 1650 Super resulted in a boost of about 8FPS+ versus the non-super version. GPU Usage was 99% for most parts, VRAM usage was near about 4GB out of the 6GB available. RAM consumption was 7.5GB and CPU usage was distributed with an average of 44.75% consumption of the processor. I managed to get way above 60FPS for most parts of the gameplay. The average was a bit hard to calculate, but just to put out numbers, it would be from 80-90FPS.

If you happen to run this game on a lower end/entry-level GPU and CPU ( Say a 1050 TI and I3 8100), I would recommend turning off all the shadow and lighting options and dial down the settings to medium. That should give you enough room to enjoy the game at some great Frame Rates. The game itself feels very optimized and I hope it remains like this for the entirety. Let me know your issues and/or thoughts down in the comments below. I will reply to them as soon as I can. This is Darkside55 signing off!
