Starship Troopers: Terran Command | How To Get Rid Of Bugs

We all agree on this I think. The only good bug is a dead bug. Non-citizens can use these tips to defeat the bug threat and earn citizenship through service.

Starship Troopers: Terran Command is an action-packed real-time strategy game based on the Starship Troopers film franchise. Take charge of the Mobile Infantry and fight the Arachnid threat. Ensure that human civilization, not bug civilization, reigns supreme in the galaxy now and forever!

How To Kill Bugs In Starship Troopers: Terran Command

I have shared below some tips on how you can get rid of the bug menace in Starship Troopers: Terran Command.

Tips & Tricks

A basic Rifleman troop and a Rocket troop are superior to two Mark II Riflemen because the rocket launcher deals more damage against armored units and groups, while the basic riflemen have more unit health and fire output against lightly armored bugs.

Because the Mark II Morita Riflemen have half the amount of troops as regular Riflemen, this is the case.

  • Tip: The best way to defeat the insect threat is to maximize your fire superiority.

Spam those Scorpions, Plasma, and Tanker bugs with Rocket. When a Scorpion, Plasma, or Tanker spawns in, have two or three rocket troops strike first; it will likely kill it instantaneously or injure it enough that it will die to basic troops.

Take the high ground; climbing the high ground takes longer for bugs and your men. As a result, a single unit can protect against a greater number of bugs for a longer period of time.

The high ground also allows troops to fire over lower-level troopers. Unless you use a unit’s unique ability, troops in this game must have an unobstructed line of sight, as they will not shoot through their allies.

The initial line of troops should consist of a mix of Rifles, E-Pulse, Flamethrowers, and other support troops such as Rockets, and MkII Troops (since they have grenade launchers and mortars), Snipers, Comms, Officers, and Liaisons.

Achieved a new level Rocket troops allow you to wipe out unarmored groups or launch fire rockets to help limit the number of bugs that can attack your line, prevent bugs from capturing the high ground, or prevent bugs from flanking.

Spitter bugs can be used to take out units that are out of range of your regular troops. Snipers seem like a logical choice, but you’re losing potential firepower for range.

Snipers also deal less damage against armored bugs and groups. As a result, a Rocket Troop is superior to Snipers on any given day because they both have the long-range capability and cost the same logistically.

Rapid-Fire Tips

  • Call reinforcements to rotate units out so they can regain full health.
  • When you can, wipe out bug lairs and hives; nevertheless, this will increase the difficulty.
  • If you don’t have any anti-armor troops, grenades can be used to take down armored forces.
  • Because you’re always in the enemy territory due to the bug threat under your feet, keep an eye on your back with a spare unit.
  • Don’t move all of your units at once when you’re outside your base. If the bugs emerge from the fog, one should move while the other covers.
  • Create a kill zone that allows numerous troops to fire on the same target at the same time.
  • Get a handle on choke spots. This restricts the number of bugs that can pass through quickly. A Combat Engineer has a better chance of holding a choke point than a Rifleman Trooper.
  • Using the Combat Engineers to build turrets to defend your base(s) allows you to deploy more troops on the offensive.

That ends the guide here for now. Be sure to bookmark us for the latest gaming content. Goodbye!
