The Medium | How To Fix Texture Flickering

Even with decent gaming Setups, players are facing Texture Flickering Issues in The Medium Game. We have a few Fixes which may help with that. But before proceeding with the guide, make sure you meet the minimum system specs for the game. This will ensure that the issue is not at all from your side, and you can them go forth with the rest of the fix. Let’s Check it out…

How To Fix Texture Flickering Issue in The Medium (PC)

  1. The first tip is a very obvious one but a lot of players are missing it. I would advise you to NOT downscale your Resolution at any point. Keep it at your native and 100% at all times to avoid conflicts with the monitors’ Frames.
  2. The Second Tip I would give is to TURN OFF Raytracing from the game settings. You should find this inside the settings menu under Display.
  3. If you are using “Unlimited” for Max FPS settings, try to cap that as per your wish. Ideally, you should put it on 60FPS capped, only if you are facing flickering issues in the first place. Otherwise, leave it to unlimited.
  4. One of the potential causes for the Texture Flickering can be the New Drivers pushed for The Medium. If you have updated your Graphics Drivers and facing issues after that, I would recommend you to ROLLBACK the settings to a previously stable driver. And if you are facing issues with your old driver, you can update it and check. But as far as I checked it has to do with the new drivers for NVIDIA and AMD.
  5. You should also TURN OFF LVP if it is ON for you. You can find these options in the Display Tab in the Settings Menu. It will reduce a lot of flickering and additional glow for randomly illuminated objects. Do this only if you are facing flickering while the LVP is on.
  6. The last Fix I would recommend is playing the game on DX11 rather than DX12. Here is a guide on how to do that. This method is working for some players out there, so you should give this one a go if nothing else worked for you.
