Some players, like myself, have experienced a bug in Wonderlands where they get stuck on the Overworld map after the tutorial region. I got an idea after observing someone start a cutscene while playing their game. Check out the guide below for more details.
Stuck On Overworld Map Bug Fix In Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

The Problem
After purchasing Wonderlands, I was plagued by a glitch that kept trapping me in the Overworld at the beginning of the game. Restarting the progress, checking the cache, or loading into other players’ games did not solve the issue. I was simply confined.
I saw a cutscene began playing when my partner reached the Overworld when she was playing the game on her PC, despite my repeated attempts to fix the issue. When I first launched the game, I also saw that the corporate logos hadn’t loaded. Which gave me the hint that the video must be what was preventing my progress.
The Fix
Codecs are used by the majority of computer programs to encode, decode, and display audio and video. If these aren’t loaded, a codec is probably either missing or damaged.
It appears that the opening cutscene that plays when you initially enter Overworld fails to load and prevents subsequent events from occurring, making advancement impossible.
I’ve been using a codec file named Shark007 on my PCs for more than 12 years. The Overworld soft-lock issue was totally resolved for me after installing it on my new PC. It has never failed to load anything I’ve thrown at it.
Steps To Follow:
- Download the codec by visiting www.majorgeeks.com by clicking THIS LINK.
- Other codecs might work, but I’ve always used this one.
- Activate the codec. There shouldn’t be any settings to adjust.
- RESET YOUR COMPUTER to avoid receiving a game-ending error notice.
- Open Wonderlands and carry on with your save game.
- Now that the Overworld video has started, you should be able to move further.
Conclusion
