About Boris

Tzar Boris Bokha, also known as Radii Bokha, Boris Ursus, the Red Bokha, and the Red Tzar, was a great Tzar of Kislev in the late 25th century IC, and the father of the current reigning Tzarina Katarin.

Boris was a fiery, passionate warrior, and it was said he was born with the sound of the Bloodheart howling on the wind above him — a good omen for a warrior — and the hags predicted he would fight hard and die well.

Rising to the throne in 968 (2492 in the Imperial calendar) after his father, Vladimir Bokha, died fighting Goblins east of Kislev, Boris inherited a nation that had done little to recover from the devastation caused during the Great War against Chaos of 2302.

In a move resented by the old guard of the Kislev court, Radii Bokha nearly emptied the treasuries to hire mercenaries to re-train the Kislev army, rebuilding bridges, roads, and towns and importing black powder and engineers from the Empire.

Though it almost bankrupted his family (and several other noble families in the bargain), Tzar Boris’ reign will be forever remembered for his driving spirit and eagerness to reclaim the lands that had become infested with Goblins, Trolls, Beastmen, and other vile creatures.

The Settlements You Need To Take

How do you unlock the third legendary lord for Kislev Boris Ursus? Well, it’s quite simple, you just need to take a bunch of the main Kislev settlements.

This is most easily done with the Motherland Mechanic that will allow you to confederate your political opponent, whether you’re playing as Kostaltyn or Katarin. This will very likely grant you one or two of the settlements that you need. And there are three in total.

To the west of the Kislev land, Erengrad, closest to Castelton, one he can probably take. And then Kislev itself which Katarin starts with, so that’s one down already. So that’s two and then the third one is Prague just to the north of Kislev, which again Katarin can take quite easy. And that’s all you need.

After Taking The Settlements

If you forget, you can check technology where the three trees come from those three cities, Kislev, Erengrad, Prague. And once you’ve taken those three cities, you have to hold on to them all for ten turns.

Once you’ve done that, this quest battle will appear, The Frozen Fours. This will allow you to save Boris and unlock his campaign and also be able to use him in custom and multiplayer battles.

The quest battle itself is quite easy, I’ll let you discover it for yourself. You will see there’s a big army, but you only fight it a little bit at a time. So it’s a pretty relaxed challenge and that is how we unlock Boris Ursus.
