V Rising – Save File and Config File Location

V Rising is receiving lots of love when it comes to the Survival game done just right along with some decent action elements put into it. In the need of the hour, if you want to tweak the Save or Config Files, this guide will help you in locating them.

Save File and Config File Location for V Rising

To make certain changes to resolutions, textures, and some graphic effects, you would need to access the Config Files. Also, if you need to take a backup of your Save Game Files, you would need to know their locations first.

Take note that making any changes in these files can cause damage or improve gameplay (Depending on what you do with the settings and files). Having that out of the way, here are V Rising Save File and Config File Locations:

  • Press Windows Key + R and type %appdata%
  • Click on AppData in the Windows Navigation above. By default, it will open the “Roaming” folder.

  • Save and Config File Location – Open the folder LocalLow > Stunlock Studios > VRising > Settings

Inside the settings, you should see two files called ClientSettings.Json and ServerHistory.Json. All you need to do is open either of these files with Notepad or Notepad++, and they will be converted to editable Files. They have the following options:

ClientSettings

{
"General": {},
"Sound": {},
"Interface": {
"Language": "english",
"SkipIntroCinematic": true
},
"GameClient": {
"EnableGameAnalytics": false,
"CompletedTutorials": 7423,
"HasSeenCinematic": true,
"HasCompletedFirstStartup": true
},
"GraphicSettings": {
"Resolution": {
"x": 1920,
"y": 1080
},
"DynamicResolutionQuality": 0.77,
"WindowMode": 0,
"VerticalSync": false,
"MotionBlur": false,
"DepthOfField": false
}

ServerHistory

{"Entries":[]}

Take note that you can easily change resolution and other settings like Depth of Field, Motion Blur, and Vsync from here also even though I would recommend you to do that from the in-game settings.
