How To Personalize any Item in Valheim

The Basics of personalizing any accessible object in the game is to Build a Ward! yes, that is all you need to lock and access objects that you would want to use for yourself. They are not just limited to Chests. You can also use it on Doors, Buildings, and other accessible items.

The explanation to use a Ward and personalize the items is pretty simple. You can now stop worrying about other people trying to raid and steal your items inside your servers.

You should use the Building Hammer to open the menu. Then navigate to Ward and start building it. The materials needed are 5 x Fine Wood, 5 x Greydwarf Eyes, and 1 x Surtling Core. Once you finish building the ward, Press E or your preferred interact button to access the Ward.

How To Build and Use Personal Chests

Activated Ward

First, build the number of chests you want. Then simply place the Ward as shown above. Once you interact with it, it will pulse in energy, indicating that it can now be used to lock items. The person who builds the ward is able to lock these items for only himself. Hence the only person who can access them is the person who built the wards.

How To Give Ward Access To Others

To give ward access to other players, first, interact with it and deactivate it for yourself. Then have the other player who wants access activate it. It will now radiate green energy. Now all you need to do is reactivate it from your end and that player can now access whatever you are accessing for yourself. Take note that they will not be able to activate or deactivate the ward yourself, but the player can now access the doors, chests, and buildings you were accessing!

That is all I am sharing for this guide on personalizing chests and items and Valheim. Personally, I use it only on doors and chests. You can find other items to lock and use as well. let me know your doubts and/or suggestions down in the comments. Thanks for reading and keep posted with the site for more Valheim content. Adios!
