One of the most powerful weapons in its segment is the Lingering Dread Grenade Launcher, which was dropped in the Season of the Haunted. The following guide will tell players how they can get the Lingering Dread and its god roll.
Destiny 2: How to get the Lingering Dread and God Roll
These types of weapons are some of the most powerful in the game, and this weapon pairs nicely with the Ignition Code and Pardon Our Dust.
Furthermore, it also inflicts Stasis damage on opponents and you can get the perks for the same. However, the big downside to the Launcher is that it cannot be crafted in the game.
The god roll is only gotten from two activities in the Duality Dungeon as well. Players who have received the Lingering Dread once will be able to get it further from the secret chests present inside the Dungeon as well.
The two encounters that reward the weapon are the first and last ones in the Dungeon. You will be able to access the secret chests after the first quest of defeating Nightmare of Gahlran, which means players will have four chances to win the Lingering Dread.
The first chest is located inside the room with four Cabal statues, and the second one is present around the location of the tenth Repressed Memory.
Make sure to collect the copy of the launcher beforehand, and since you can get any item in the final encounter, focusing on the Lingering Dread alone will be tough.
Destiny 2: Lingering Dread Best Perks
The Grenade Launcher will be a solid choice in both Player v Player (PvP) and Player v Environment (PvE) activities. When selecting the barrel perk, go for the Quick Launch and Confined Launch in PvP, while Smart Drift Control works in PvE.
For the magazine perk, go for Blinding Grenades and Spike Grenades. These two are also great for Gambit, Vanguard, and Crucible quests.
Additionally, players can also opt for the Proximity Grenades in the PvP setting. Here are some God Roll for Lingering Dread:
- Auto-Loading Holster/Vorpal Weapon: The Vorpal trait makes it a superior weapon for bosses, vehicles, and Guardians that are Super active.
- Ambitious Assassin/Chill Clip: You will be able to reload two grenades for every kill made with the weapon.
- Ambitious Assassin, Auto-Loading Holster/Demolitionist: A good choice for builds that are based around grenades.
- Auto-Loading Holster/Chill Clip: The god roll for the weapon, and the best choice for Stasis builds.
