Final Fantasy 6: All Esper Locations

If you ask 100 Final Fantasy fans which game is their favourite in the series, you’ll get at least ten different answers. However, some installments appear to be statistically more likely to receive more votes than others.

Final Fantasy 6 is without a doubt one of them, and its Pixel Remaster has given the game a fresh lease on life with stunning aesthetic flourishes and a great orchestrated rendition of an all-time classic soundtrack.

With all of these new aesthetic touches, players will undoubtedly want to see their old favourite Espers again. Furthermore, it’s a good idea to collect them all anyway, because the rarer ones teach the most powerful magic spells in the game. Let’s go through each unearthly monster one by one till we’re done.

Are There GBA Espers In Pixel Remaster?

Unfortunately, the new Pixel Remaster does not feature the additional Espers introduced in Final Fantasy 6 Advance and brought back in the 2014 mobile edition of the game.

This means that Leviathan, Gilgamesh, Cactuar, and Diabolos are all unavailable. We’ll update this guide if Square Enix either patches in the previous optional material or re-releases it as DLC, which is highly improbable but never say never. If you’re down, imagine Celes up there singing a blues about it.
