Street Fighter 6: How to Turn on Classic Controls
Players looking to switch the game’s controls have been left frustrated with the poor UI of Street Fighter 6 in this regard. The problem is compounded by the fact that several players go directly to the options menu rather than the selection of characters screen.
For those who can get the controls changed to the classic mode, it is reset back to the default when you are playing in the online mode. To change it entirely, here is what needs to be done.
Once you are in the game, start clicking on the buttons of your current controls that bring out the “Battle Settings.” You will recognize it by the menu with some tabs, one of them being ‘Character.’
Go to the Character subhead, and under ‘Edit Character,’ change it to Classic. You will not have a Dynamic option for online gameplay either way.
The final step can be a little confusing to the player as you might feel you have to repeat the process with all the characters in the game individually. However, that is not true in Street Fighter 6 since there is a helpful workaround.
The easier way is to click on the button that will take you to the main “Battle Settings” menu you saw initially.

Once that screen shows up, select the option to save the changes for all your characters, and the Classic controls will be applied automatically. This will save you time as you do not have to do it manually for everyone.
