Dredge | How To Get The Good And Bad Endings

In Dredge, you play as a lonely fisherman tasked with keeping a small town afloat through the fishing trade. But not everything is as it appears, and things quickly become creepy, with a mysterious figure asking you to track down Relics to solve the mystery and solve the story. But does Dredge have more than one ending? The following is a list of all Dredge endings and how to obtain them.

How To Get The Good And Bad Endings In Dredge

Dredge has two endings, but only one will provide a good lore wrap-up. The other abruptly ends the story, leaving you to wonder why things are how they are. In Dredge, you can get either a Bad or Good ending, with the latter being the one you want to aim for. Please proceed at your own risk because there will be minor spoilers ahead.

How To Get The Bad Ending

For Dredge’s Bad ending, you can play the game however you want until you’ve collected all five Relics. Return to Blackstone Isle, enter the Mansion, and speak with the Collector. Tell him you want to go on the final journey. In the ocean, a tight beam of red light will appear: this is where you need to go.

Sail to it (map coordinates G8), and you’ll notice a sparkling spot in the water. Interact with it to begin the final cutscene and reach Dredge’s Bad ending. You’ll earn the Unshackled achievement as a result.

How To Get The Good Ending

Collect all five Relics to unlock Dredge’s Good ending. But, before you hand them in, take a detour to an unmarked island at map coordinates P10 and anchor at the dock. Why, might you ask? Because the Old Mayor awaits you around the campfire.

Talk to them. Return to your boat after the conversation and sail to Greater Marrow, where your journey began. Ask the Lighthouse Keeper about the silver and crimson book before proceeding to Blackstone Isle, entering the Mansion, and speaking with the Collector.

Refusing to hand over the final Relic will eventually result in him handing you the Crimson Book. Return to the Lighthouse Keeper in Greater Marrow and return to your vessel once finished. Sail over to G8, where you’ll find the same sparkling spot in the water as in the Bad ending.

Interacting with it will grant you a Good ending in Dredge this time.
