Smalland: Survive the Wilds – How and Where to Find Flint
Players must plant Flint nodes around the water bodies in the game to get Flint. There is a location in the Beach area very early on in the game, which is to the southwest of where you start your journey. It can also be accessed by going to the south of where Skadi is found on the map.
The beach does not have many wood resources, so players must carry one metal screw and one bottlecap to craft the Stone Cutter here. Once you are done, it will allow you to craft many flint tools and weapons without the extra hassle of returning to your original point of spawning.
There are several more places where Flint nodes can be found in the game, including the Greylands and the Swamp biome areas. However, these places are dangerous if you wish to visit them on your own, so it is best to wait until your character gets there naturally through the storyline.
Flint can be spotted as a black group of stones lying on the ground. Players have to carry a Mandibular Pickaxe to mine the Flint nodes, and it can be crafted through these items:
- Fiber x 5
- Resin x 5
- Bull Ant Mandible x 1
- Wood x 5
Once you start mining Flint, players will be able to start making a lot of weapons that are heavily required in the game. These are as follows:
- Flint Spear: Flint x 8
- Flint Arrow: Flint x 2
- Flint Spear: Flint x 8
- Flint Hatchet: Flint x 6
- Flint Sword: Flint x 10
- Flint Shears: Flint x 8
These tools and weapons can also be created through the Stone Cutter. Nevertheless, players will require extra crafting materials apart from Flint.
