The release of EA Sports’ FC 24 in Early Access has generated a lot of excitement amongst players, and a significant focus has gone to the settings. We have to get familiar with the controllers and cameras in FC 24 as there have been some changes, especially in the former category.
Players will be able to do a lot of customization with the controls, which can really affect your gameplay. While individual preference is involved, the following guide will help players understand the best settings to start the game with.
FC 24: What Are The Best Controller And Camera Settings
There has been a lot of change over the past few years in the game, back when it was in collaboration with FIFA. Last year, it was the addition of the Competitive Master Switch that allows players to change between competitive and non-competitive settings. It is always turned on when playing FUT Champions, Co-Op seasons, Pro Clubs, Online Seasons, and Division Rivals. The following list shows the settings that are involved:
- Contextual Agile Dribbling: Off
- Auto Clearances: Off
- Auto Flair Pass: Off
- Auto Shots: Off
- Assisted Headers: Off
- Jockey: Manual
- Through Pass Assistance: Semi
- Defense: Tactical Defending
Regarding the new additions for FC 24, we feel you may have to change the original or toggle around to find the best fit. We have discussed the following:
FIFA Trainer
Players can Hide this in the game if they are not novices. Since most of the controls have been familiar for us over the years, most will not need them.
Timed Finishing
A feature that, if used well, can be the difference between good and great. Timed Finishing means you have to hit the shoot button twice, with the second hit having to align well with the indicator to hit a shot perfectly. You will be able to get a lot of Finesse as well, so do try it out.
Icon Switching
It is risky to keep on, given that players can expose themselves to danger through this. You can activate it by pressing R and then going in a specific direction.
However, the danger is that you can activate it by mistake while playing the game, which can cause trouble. So, it is best to keep it Off in the initial stages.
Auto Switching Move Assistance
If you keep it too excellent, players will have a tough time trying to change the direction of a player going in a specific area. You can keep it to None, as you will have complete control over where to go and which player to choose while defending.
Analog Sprint
Players can change their speed of sprinting if this is kept On, but keeping it Off is more advantageous since it will allow you to run at equal speed over all distances.
Along with these, players will also have many other controller settings that they can use without changing in the game. However, if you feel different after a while, you can always try different styles.
- Pass Block Assistance: You will helped with your interceptions when this is kept On.
- Player Lock: A new feature that will lock up a single player, leaving you to control the rest of the team when turned On.
- Next Player Switch Indicator: You can view the player you switch on to if kept On through L1/LB.
- Save Assistance: It will only help in offline games.
- Right Stick Switching Preference: Players will see the player centered when they hit the right thumb stick.
- Pass Receiver Lock: If you keep it Late, you can choose the direction of the pass or shot till the final moment so you can take your time to place it better and not rush through.
- Lob Pass Assistance: You will be helped when choosing the direction and power of Lob passes through Assisted.
- Auto Switching: You can keep this on for better ease of play since you will have the closest option at hand always.
- Clearance Assistance: It is a new addition, and you can turn this On by keeping it directional as the player clears the danger while the power is automatically selected as soon as you get the ball.
- Ground Pass Assistance: You will be helped with your passes so they are completed more often and quickly.
Best camera angle and settings
There are several choices for players when it comes to camera options. It is primarily dependent on what you feel suits best for the modes. You can switch your cameras through two ways, one in the main menu and the other within a game.
For the main menu:
- Go to the ‘Customize’ tab and choose Settings
- Get inside Game Settings
- Move to the ‘Camera’ tab, and you will get all the options here
For changing your camera from inside a match:
- Pause the competition and choose Settings
- Get to Game Settings
- Head to the ‘Camera’ tab
The best part of changing cameras within the match is that you will get to preview the option before finalizing it for the game. You can also adjust the height, zoom, and other opportunities through this. So, it is best to try various options before deciding.
