Whenever you are playing a game, there are several exciting things apart from the major gameplay. It could be side quests, special objectives, and more. The same is the case with A Plague Tale: Requiem which has a hidden armor that can become very useful towards the final stages of the game.
However, this can be hard to find, given that there is no extra indication of where it could be located and how to acquire it. Additionally, you will have to figure out a puzzle as well in order to land the armor.
While it is found after a significant time in the game, it can still be a game-changer for the players. Therefore, it is important to know how to get the special armor and the following guide will help players in finding the path to it.
A Plague Tale: Requiem – What to know about Bracer’s secret armor?
There are many benefits to having the secret armor, titled ‘Bracer,’ which include better health revival and superior defensive protection. This is will ensure that you are able to absorb hits during heavyweight battles before striking again quickly.
You will get stronger and be able to make your journey further without damaging your health against enemies. Furthermore, the Bracer armor can be also beneficial when you have to escape an area quickly without engaging in combat.
As mentioned above, the Bracer armor is found after traversing through the game. In fact, it is Chapter 9 ‘Tales and Revelations’ which holds the special, secret armor. Though this might seem too late, there are plenty of areas where you will be thankful for the help of the Bracer armor which can be the difference maker.
Once you interact with the guard in front of the Palace courtyard, the game will progress into a lush green area that resembles a meadow, doted with some windmills. You will be heading to the stone arches present beyond the windmills where there is a ladder heading underground into a cave.
There are inscriptions that hint at the windmills being part of something, a notion that is further bolstered by discussions between yourself and Hugo. Given that all of the action seems to be surrounding the windmills, that is where you will have to visit next.
A Plague Tale: Requiem – How to solve windmill puzzle
There are four windmills in the area, all of which will be required in figuring out the location of the Bracer armor. The windmills are labeled 1-4 and are situated in a descending manner. The task is to keep a couple of them on and a couple of them off, before getting inside each structure one by one.
If you watch from left to right, Windmill numbers one and two will have to be on while three and four are turned off.
You will find a cart near the left entrance and you will see a ladder leading up to a flimsily covered window. Take out the lock present on the door before you will be able to make your way through the main gate to reach the engine of the windmill.
Since it is turned on, there is no need to go inside. However, there are collectibles present which can be gotten through the cart via the hole that Hugo can enter and open the gate.
There will be a rope at the back of the windmill which is attached to boxes that collapse when stretched. Once you get on the top of the boxes, you are inside the structure and turn off the lever to stop the rotating blades.
The easiest of the lot, given that you will be able to waltz through the front entrance and use the lever to stop the blades.
Once you are done with the journey, go back inside the cave where you will see that the inscription-filled wall has lifted to give access to a new location. After you get to the finish, there are several items on offer including a box. You will have to communicate with the box which shows a scene where you are able to view getting the Bracer armor.
Thus, that is all the information you will need to find the Bracer’s secret armor in Chapter 9. Of course, it is a completely voluntary journey that players can choose to do or avoid. However, the extra armor will always be helpful whenever you are in combat.
