How To Get or Farm Unending Tempest in Destiny 2?
You may be wondering how you can get your hands on this weapon. The only sure way to get or farm The Unending Tempest is to play crucible matches, gather crucible engrams, and use them to open the Focus Decoding Rolls for Unending Tempest. To be precise:
- Play Crucible Matches and make sure you are completing bounties to earn rank XP quickly.
- Gather crucible engrams as much as you can.
- Head over to Lord Shax in the Tower.
- Open the “Focus Decoding” tab from his menu.
Here are the required items or resources you need to focus the weapon:
- 1 x Crucible Engram
- 25 x Legendary Shards
- 5000 x Glimmers

Here, I will list the possible God Roll for Unending Tempest, especially for PvP:
Column 1 (Basic Barrel) – We have Hammer-Forged Rifling for the maximum range from basic barrels. It gives a bonus of +10 range for this weapon, an excellent addition to the already decent SMG. You can also go for Corkscrew Rifling for +5 range, +5 Stability, and +5 handling. My personal choice is Hammer-Forged.
Column 2 (Basic Magazine) – I opted for Accurized Rounds for an additional +10 Range for this weapon. This will only help you increase the range of it since SMGs usually struggle with range.
Column 3 (Basic Trait 1) – My pick here is Perpetual Motion for the stacking effect on Stability, Handling, and Reload Speed. The only catch is that you must keep up your movement speed to trigger this perk.
Column 4 (Basic Trait 2) – I would pick Target Lock since the rangefinder got a nerf. As you keep hitting the shots, there are small increments in damage, which keeps scaling. The damage buff goes up to 10.6% in PvP, which is excellent if you engage in aggressive combat.
Column 5 (Origin Trait) – The only option here is Nadir Focus. A new perk was added this season, which increases accuracy and range. When it comes to SMG, both of these are necessary, so it’s a great perk to pick here.
Masterwork and Mod for Unending Tempest
The Masterwork that made sense for me here is RANGE. Again, the simple fact that SMGs suffer with range makes this choice easy, and maxing this out will give you an additional range of +10. The other Masterwork you can consider is Handling.
In terms of Mod to apply, I used a Counter Balance Stock. This made the Recoil 100, which is excellent when using an SMG in heated fights.
Here are some more tips on Perks
Barrel Shroud is a good option since it positively impacts damage falloff. The only reason not to select it is that it greatly decreases the handling, making this weapon a nightmare.
Moving Target is a good option if you do not prefer Perpetual Motion since it grants Aim Assist and ADS Penalty benefits. The mechanics are similar to Perpetual Motion’s, so it will match the same play style.
