Here is the complete list of Notorious Marks from whom you will receive the Scarletite and what is needed to unlock them.
- Dozmare: Level 28, Rank B. Players must initiate the Blacksmith’s Blues side quest.
- Fastitocalon: Level 34, Rank B. You will have to begin the Riddle of the Sands’ main quest.
- The Ten of Clubs: Level 35, Rank B. The way to unlock this is by finishing the Fire in the Sky main quest.
- Holy Trumpitour: Level 36, Rank B. Players must complete the For Great Justice II side quest.
Apart from hunting down the aforementioned Notorious Marks, you can find Scarletite through a different side quest. This is known as the Hot Water quest, and players can start this quest by interacting with Xaver within the Dalimil Inn of Dhalmekian Republic.
You can meet Xaver after finishing the Follow the Crystals part of the overall Riddle of the Sands main quest.
Final Fantasy 16: How to Finish the Hot Water Quest
Players will have to defeat some bombs present around the Doeznov Terraces. You will be guided by several waypoints that will make your life much easier. Once you finish the task, Xaver will give you the required Scarletite.
You will also receive the Breath of the Inferno (Ignition) accessory. This will benefit you by decreasing the cooldown time of Ignition by 2.2 seconds, which is a handy item to have in the game for several moments.
Of course, players will need other elements apart from Scarletite to craft the Excalibur, Drakeslayer’s Belt, and Drakeslayer’s Bracelets. You must find Gelatinous Mass, Bomb Ember, and Electrum for the three objects.
The advantage is that all these other items will also be available by taking down more of the Notorious Marks on the Hunt Board.
