In-Game Settings

To change the settings for FIFA 22, launch the game from the desktop. you will be presented with a screen with three options: Play, Game Settings, and Exit. Click on game settings to make these changes:

Resolution: This should always be native to your monitor (s). For me, it is 1920×1080 so I put that as my resolution

Rendering Quality: This is basically the graphics, Texture, and overall visual quality of the rendered game. For the rig I mentioned above, I use High as my setting.

MSAA Options: This option is for Anti-Aliasing features within the game. I used 2x MSAA for this edition of FIFA. It Performs quite well for me and helps me remove the annoying jagged edges from the screen.

Frame Rate: Unless you have an old system that fluctuates a lot in terms of frames (In that case put it to 60FPS Locked), put the FPS to No Limits. This will give you the maximum frames possible for the game at the above settings.

Here is an illustrative video showing some gameplay, changing controls for keyboards only, and the FPS for the above settings: [LINK]. The goal for me was to get at least 80+ FPS for the listed system at 1080p as you can figure out from my monitors’ resolution.

FIFA 22 Tested on GTX 1050 TI and I3 8100

Graphics Settings:

1920×1080 [Fullscreen]

Rendering Quality [Medium]

MSAA Options [OFF]

FPS Limits [Unlimited]

The average FPS was recorded to be 110FPS and the RAM Usage was around 7300MHz. A pretty decent performance from a GTX 1050TI card and a fair entry-level processor. Here is the video for the testing: [LINK]

Results and Tips To Improve FPS

With the above settings and some windows settings I will show below, I was getting an average of 110+ FPS. In Graphically intense scenarios it was dipping to 88FPS which was not that noticeable. For most parts, the game ran smoothly without any issues at all.

FIFA 22 is well optimized as I was expecting from an EA Game. If you are running on a medium to lower-end systems Like a 1050TI  16GB RAM and I3 8100 or something similar, I would highly advise playing the game on Medium Quality. Anything lower than a 1050TI should run the game with MSAA Off to get the best FPS.

I will also recommend that you lock the FPS at 60 if you are facing stuttering or too many FPS spikes while playing competitive or casual. You can also follow the way I changed my settings for Keyboard Only if you are also a KB player like me and avoid playing with a controller. I will show some other binds in any of my future posts and/or videos.

Windows Settings for Performance

  • Performance Mode for NVIDIA: Make sure that you have the mode set to Performance from NVIDIA Control Panel. To do this Right-Click anywhere on the desktop and open NVIDIA Control Panel. Now click on “adjust 3D image settings with preview”.
  • Now select the options that say use my preference emphasizing: and click on performance.
  • You can do a similar setting for AMD Cards as well. Since I do not own one, I am not listing those settings as of now. But I have a few friends who use them and get great results. So, I encourage you to do the same.
  • Adjusting Appearance and Performance for Windows: Type this title in the windows search bar and open that. Under the tab visual effects, set the option to Adjust for best performance. Your desktop WILL NOT look pretty after this, but It will help you in boosting overall PC performance and FIFA 22 performance as well.

  • Turning Off unwanted overlays: If you struggle with FPS, especially on a low-end system, I would highly suggest turning off all overlays. These include NVIDIA Shadowplay, Steam, Origin, Epic, and other overlays which may run in the background. This will help you in gaining those extra ounces of Frame Rates.

That would be all from this post on the Best In-Game and Windows Settings for FIFA 22 PC. Do let me know in the comments how you are enjoying the game as well. Make sure to notify me about your suggestions and/or doubts via the same as well. Thanks for reading this post.

I will be coming up with more FIFA 22 Content so stay posted with the site. We also have a YouTube channel where we upload the latest gaming videos. Do check them out if you want. Have a good one ahead!

  1. I’m playing it on Ultra with 4x msaa with a GTX1050ti and an i5 8400. So far no problem. It runs at more than 100 fps.
