There are several important crafting tools that players will need in LEGO Fortnite with one of them being the Gem Cutter. It will be required in all sorts of further crafting areas and you will struggle without having it in your inventory.
The Gem Cutter itself has to be crafted first through the building of several other items. In that regard, the following guide will help players in making the Gem Cutter through the steps required in LEGO Fortnite.
LEGO Fortnite: How To Build The Gem Cutter
As mentioned above, players have to build some items and crafting stations before they can proceed with creating the Gem Cutter. The first step is to construct the Lumber Mill by using Granite (x15) and Wood (x8). After you have finished building the Lumber Mill, you will need it to build Planks (x8).
Each piece of Plank requires one piece of Wood so completing this objective should be fairly easy. The next task is to acquire Shells (x3) for which you have to head to the grass biome and take out some Rollers.
Now that you have all of these items, players can update their Crafting Bench to the Uncommon level.
Now that your Crafting Bench is upgraded, players have to follow the below steps in the final leg of their journey to build the Gem Cutter:
- Players have to build Wooden Rods (x3) at the Lumber Mill which will require three pieces of Wood.
- The next task is to acquire Bones (x6) for which you need to kill three Skeletons who can be got at night and in caves very easily.
- Now, you can make the Uncommon Forest Axe by using the upgraded Crafting Bench.
Once you are finished here, players have to obtain Knotroots via the Uncommon Axe. You will need 23 Knotroots and they are present within a cave which is a dangerous expedition so you are advised to take all sorts of precautions.
- After you have the Knotroots, head to the Lumber Mill and make three Knotroot Rods.
- You will now be able to craft the Uncommon Pickaxe through the Crafting Bench.
There is a final crafting station that players have to build for which you will need 55 pieces of Marble so the cave is where you have to head next.
After you are done, make a Stone Breaker through which you will able to build 20 Marble Slabs. The last step is to visit the sand biome and gather the below items:
- Sand Shells (x3): You can get them by killing Sand Rollers.
- Rough Ambers (x5): You will have to mine yellow stone with the Uncommon Pickaxe for this.
- Sand Claws (x5): Players have to kill Sand Wolves to acquire them.
Once you have these items, the Gem Cutter can be crafted in the game. The Gem Cutter has quite a handful of uses in LEGO Fortnite. They are:
- Placing Rough Amber in the Gem Cutter and activating it can get you Cut Amber.
- Different Cut Ambers offer various buffs, like increased movement speed, damage, or crafting speed, and maybe more in future updates.
It is a lot of work, yes, but the item at the end is superb as you will have a lot of uses for the Gem Cutter as you progress in LEGO Fortnite.
