A lot of players are finding it confusing to locate and turn ON the FPS Counter option along with other latency and telemetric options. So, In this guide, I will help you as much as I can with this issue and help you locate that in the first place.
How To Turn ON FPS Counter and Ping Check on COD MW2
FPS counter is much needed for players since it helps you check whether you are getting the said amount of Frames for the given settings. This is a validation that the game is either running smoothly or struggling with your current system. The same can be said for Ping check or Latency check as well.
Ping determines how well the game will go, and the shots will register for a player. Higher ping means you will have major issues in playing the game properly. Also, too high ping and the game may come out as choppy or unplayable. Keeping these Telemetric Options in check will help you in optimizing the performance.
To enable or turn ON FPS Counter, Ping/Latency Check, and other options, do the following:
- Hit ESC or go to the Options Menu
- Go to Settings
- Head over to Interface
- Look for an option called TELEMETRY
- Switch it to CUSTOM and expand the drop-down below
- You can then turn on FPS Counters, Latency, Packet Loss, and other statistical visuals while you play the game.
- These are all the options available for players inside TELEMETRY:
FPS counter, Server Latency, Packet Loss, GPU temperature, GPU Time, GPU Clock, VRAM Usage, Processor Time, and Clock.
You can also adjust the Telemetry Size from the options below. Also, you can turn on a Telemetric Meter, which will bring out a graph during your gameplay. I used this option for some time, but It was too much of a visual clutter for me, so I decided to turn it OFF. This is a personal preference so this depends on you.
The game seems to be a bit different from the BETA version, and you need to make a lot of different graphics settings changes to make the game run smoothly.
That is all I had to share in this guide for showing FPS and Latency, along with Other options in the game. Do let me know if you face any issues or your own experience with the settings and the game. Leave your thoughts in the comment section below. For more such guides, follow our COD MW2 section.
