Apex Legends | What legends are given preference for items?

In Apex Legends many of the newer players are unaware of which players should receive which items. Here is a list of every weapon and equipment that particular Legends should receive. Check the guide in full and let me know if it helped you.

Which legends get priority for items in Apex Legends

Gold Backpack

Teammates are revived with more health and shields thanks to the gold backpack. Following is a list of the Legends in order of effectiveness with the gold backpack:
  • Lifeline
  • Newcastle
  • Gibraltar
  • Mirage

If none of the Legends named are in your party, the following Legends should have this priority, despite not having the same priority. Legends with uncommon skills that are helpful since randoms won’t likely employ them include:

  • Bangalore (in smoke)
  • Rampart (behind shield)
  • Caustic (in gas)
  • Revenant (in silence)

The following legends are helpful because of traits that help with escape but not with revival:

  • Ash
  • Horizon
  • Loba
  • Octane
  • Pathfinder
  • Valkyrie
  • Wraith

The Legends who aren’t mentioned have no priority and shouldn’t receive the golden backpack.

Gold Helmet

The Legend’s Ultimates’ cooldown is lowered by the golden helmet. Here are several Legends that should never receive the golden helmet, and I cannot stress this enough:
  • Mirage
  • Octane
  • Mad Maggie
  • Loba

These Legends have abilities that cool down so quickly that they are essentially useless for a gold helmet.

Seer and Newcastle are the only exceptions to this rule due of how helpful their Ultimates are to the team. Neither Wattson nor Pathfinder should receive the gold helmet because they both possess skills that quickly charge their Ultimate.

The legends who stand to gain the most from the gold helmet are thought to be:

  • Valkyrie
  • Revenant
  • Bangalore
  • Gibraltar

Legends that aren’t mentioned are all in the middle. They aren’t at the front of the queue, but neither are they at the back.

Gold Knockdown Shield

A one-time self-revive is possible for Legends thanks to the gold knockdown shield. After that, the knockout shield turns purple. The Legends, which are recommended for usage with this in the golden backpack section, work well with it.
They can self-res and res the rest of the team, plus the gold knockdown shield and backpack can actually stack, so this is possible! For a list of Legends that work well with the gold knockdown shield, please refer to the section on the golden backpack.

There is presently only one legend that offers an advantage when employing a specific weapon. When employing LMGs, Rampart has a quicker reload time and bigger magazines. These consist of:
  • Devotion
  • Spitfire
  • Rampage
  • L-Star

Warning: This information contains spoilers. When using snipers to aim down sights, The Legend Vantage (who is likely to appear in Season 14) will have knowledge about the opponent. Give her a sniper when she releases, please!
