How To Play By Yourself Online Or With Friends In Dying Light 2
Follow these quick steps to get the desired results.
Reaching the online menu
From the Main Menu click Options then click Online in the top right. Then from in-game press escape to pause the game. From the pause menu you have two options: you can click Options or you can press F4 or click Online Menu:
From here you have options.
- Single Player – Play alone.
- Private – Play with people you invite or alone with online features enabled.
- Friends Only – Play with only your friends, no randoms unless you switch it to public afterwards.
- Public – Play with anyone. You will show up in a list of public servers to join.
Call For Help: Search And Rescue
- Never – I don’t want notifications showing when someone asks for help.
- From time to time – I’ll have the notifications sparingly.
- Regularly – If someone needs help, I want to see it.
There are options to enable or disable voice chat and set how loud it is. This only changes the volume of voice chat.
The Online Menu Screen
These are the options available to you:
- Quick Join – Volunteer yourself into joining a server close to you
- Find Games – This brings up a list of public servers.
- Favorites – Not sure what this does. Seems like a list of favorite people outside of your friends.
- Friends – A list of friends and things you can do with each.
- Online Options – See Options -> Online section.
- Drop Out – Leave your current multiplayer session.
If you click any of the “Add Friend” buttons you can invite people through Steam. Pressing C will allow you to invite people through Epic Games if your account is linked.
ABOUT THIS GAME
Over twenty years ago in Harran, humans fought the virus—and lost. Now, they’re losing again. The City, one of the last large human settlements, is torn by conflict. Civilization has fallen back into the Dark Ages. And yet, the survivors still have hope.
You are a wanderer in this game with the power to change the fate of The City. But your exceptional abilities come at a price. Haunted by memories you cannot decipher, you set out to learn the truth… and will find yourself in a combat zone.
You must hone your skills, as to defeat your enemies and make allies, you’ll need both fists and wits. You have a chance to unravel the dark secrets behind the wielders of power, choose sides and decide your destiny. But wherever your actions take you, there’s one thing you can never forget—stay human, that is basically the essence of the game.
VAST OPEN WORLD
You need to participate in the life of a city engulfed in a new dark era. You get a chance to discover different paths and hidden passages, as you explore its multiple levels and locations.
CREATIVE & BRUTAL COMBAT
You must take advantage of your parkour skills to tip the scales of even the most brutal encounter. Clever thinking, traps and creative weapons will be your best friends.
DAY AND NIGHT CYCLE
Here you have to wait for night to venture into dark hideouts of the Infected. Sunlight keeps them at bay, but once it’s gone, monsters begin the hunt, leaving their lairs free to explore.
CHOICES & CONSEQUENCES
You must shape the future of The City with your actions and watch how it changes. You have to determine the balance of power by making choices in a growing conflict and forge your own experience.
2-4 PLAYER CO-OP GAMEPLAY
You can also play in up to four-player co-op. Here you can host your own games or join others and see how their choices have played out differently than yours.
I also have a YouTube channel where I upload the latest gaming content for PC and Android. Feel free to check that out at your own leisure. Got specific suggestions? You can submit them here. Thanks for reading!
