If you are playing Far Cry 6, but want a bit more visibility and FPS, this best settings guide will help you. By Best, I also mean optimal changes for visuals and more of a general gameplay.
Far Cry 6: Best PC Graphics Settings Guide
These are the main settings you need to tweak in the options tab to change how the game looks. Here are the main Far Cry 6 Best Graphics Settings:
Far Cry 6 Best In-game Graphics Settings↓
Take note that if you have the HD Texture Pack Downloaded, you need a large amount of VRAM (>11GB VRAM). Keep that in mind and try to refer to Ubisoft’s official site for detailed HD texture pack configurations.
FC6 Graphics and Quality Settings↓
These tweaks are meant for Quality improvement. These will increase your FPS somewhat if you are struggling with it:
Graphics Options | Description | Settings |
Graphics Quality | Selects a pre-set for all quality settings. | Custom |
Texture Filtering | Adjusts the level of filtering of Textures. Setting it to Low will result in lower texture resolution. | High |
Shadows | Graphics Details of the shadows. Lowering this improves FPS | Low |
Geometry and Vegetation | Graphical detailing of all vegetation renders in-game. | Medium |
Environment | Adjusts the detailing of the general environment. | Low [OR Medium depending on the system] |
Water | Increase or decrease the quality of water in-game. | Medium [OR high] |
Terrain | Tessellation and detailing of Terrain can be adjusted. | Medium |
Volumetric Fog | Adjusts the quality of volumetric fog. | High [OR Medium for extra FPS] |
HD Textures | I have it OFF since I use a 6GB VRAM Card. | OFF |
Anti-Aliasing | TAA is not supported by Multi-GPU. Improves image quality. IF Fidelity-FX Super is ON, TAA is forced ON by default. | TAA [OR SMAA] |
Motion Blur | Enables blur effects of rapid movements of objects. | OFF |
Camera Shake | Adjusts camera shake intensity during heavy actions. | Full |
Poisoned and Drunk Effects | Enabling these effects can cause motion sickness, so use it wisely. | ON |
DXR Reflections | NA | OFF |
DXR Shadows | NA | OFF |
Fidelity-FX CAS | NA | OFF |
Monitor Settings↓
These are the Far Cry 6s’ Monitor Settings that you need to change to get a clear picture and framerates:
Graphics Options | Description | Settings |

There are more advanced FC6 settings to use. These are also important so make sure you tweak them as shown, or as per your best knowledge for some extra FPS:

Results and Tips to Increase FPS
My goal was to get 60+ FPS with the above settings and I achieved that quite well. That is thanks to the FidelityFX Super. Upon further Adjustment of the FSR mode, you can increase the FPS even more.
Setting FSR to Performance can get you 70-75FPS but I would not recommend that. Keep that to Quality or Ultra to get a steady 60-65FPS. If you want more Framerates, turn down the High texture and environment settings to Low-Medium.
There is a trick to improve even more where you need to turn on FidelityFX CAS and set the FSR to Performance. This is ONLY RECOMMENDED for Low-end systems like 1050TI + I38100 or older-gen processors and cards.
The game is quite optimized and I faced little issues in tweaking these settings. If you want to play on Higher recommended resolutions, I will list them down:
