But fear not! This guide is your saving grace. Although resources were scarce on this matter, I’ve crafted a brief and easy-to-follow tutorial to help you rectify the issue swiftly. It’ll only take you 2 minutes to implement.
Here are some quick steps:
- Visit Epic Games at store.epicgames.com.
- Hover over your profile icon located in the top right corner of the screen, then click on “account.”
- Look for the section labeled “Apps and Accounts.”
- Since you’ve linked your Steam account with Epic, this is where you’ll find the solution.
- Proceed to unlink Steam from this section.
Once you’ve completed the steps, proceed to launch Dead Island 2 as you usually would.
You’ll encounter a message prompting you to connect your account to Epic Services.
I strongly recommend simply clicking ESC and disregarding it to avoid encountering this issue again in the future. Unless, of course, you want to find yourself back in this same situation.
Confirming Unlinking of Linked Accounts
