There has been a rise in multiple endings in adventure games over the past few years. There is a whole litany of endings to go for, and the same is the case for Persona 5 Royal. The game promises a number of endings which is a mix of good, bad, and what the truth is. Therefore, you will have to play through the game in order to know what to unlock.
The good news is that you will be able to experience all of them through the Palaces and decisions you make. Additionally, there are three more endings that are enmeshed into the Third Semester of Royal. Of course, there is also an effect of choosing the dialogues and there will be more information on them as the game progresses. In that regard, the following guide will help players with all of the information surrounding the different endings and what to expect.
Persona 5 Royal: How to get Bad Endings
The game has particular triggers which will lead you to bad endings, and they can be dodged if you are aware enough. We have listed down what not to do below:
- At the beginning of the game, reject the contract offered by Igor and it will take you back to the main menu
- Avoid finishing a Palace within the given time frame, so make sure you are demolishing all Palaces whenever you are ready so you do not go overboard with the time limit
- Another part is the interrogation scene, where you have to answer in the correct manner. This can be done by choosing the first option for the second and third queries posed by the interrogator.
Once you get an ending that is surrounded by a deadline, there is the option of going back in time by seven days, meaning you will have another chance to complete it.
Persona 5 Royal: Getting the true good ending
The ever-popular good ending alongside the true one means you have to get to the final dungeon. Players who take up the offer presented will receive a Good ending while rejection means the original ending is in store for you.
The latter will be needed to get to Royal’s Third Semester and you will need Rank 9 of the Councillor Confidant by November 17. If you are unable, then you will not be getting the unique items coming up. Additionally, try and get the Justice Confidant to Rank 8 by the same date as well as this has a post-credits scene tied to it which players will certainly love.
Persona 5 Royal: Getting bad, alternate ending
There are two new bad endings that will need you to get the true ending in the beginning. After receiving the Third Semester, you will get two offers, one on January 9 and if you reject it, again on February 2. Once you take up the offer, the bad ending is set in motion.
The other bad ending pertains to missing your time limit in the Palaces. You will have to once again not take the January 9 offer, and then miss the chance to get the rewards before February 2. Thus, you now have your two bad endings unlocked.
Persona 5 Royal: Getting the correct true ending including a bonus scene
After getting to the Third Semester, blow off the offers of January 9 and February 2 while also making your journey to the prizes in time. Then you will have to defeat the boss, which will unlock the main ending of the game.
Moreover, you will also get a post-credits scene through the Justice Confidant. Once you have seen it, you will get the last two Ranks on their own with the story going on. Now, you have reached the finale of the game.
Thus, that is all the information you will need to know about the various endings and how to navigate them. They are each of different tastes to everyone, so make sure you experience as many as possible. Of course, the sad, bad ones can take you down but the other ones will balance the emotions out.
