In S (God-Tier) We have Rock Star, Archlich, Prisoner, and Grim Reaper. For the A (Very Good) Tier, we have Ninja, Berserker, Predator, Dark Paladin, Archmage, and Fighter. For B (Good) Tier, we listed Shield, Spear, Werewolf, Minotaur, Warrior, Alchemist, Rider, Samurai, Jinn, Skul, Yaksha, and Glacial. This is a general tier and you can change it around due to the sheer number of characters in this tier. For C (Not So Great) Tier, we have Clown, Ent, Hunter, Living Armor, Mummy, Recruit, Sneak, and Sword. And finally, for the D (Bad) Tier, it is the usual suspects namely, Gargoyle, Ghoul, Bomber, and Aqua.

This is just a suggestive Tier list and the compiling is based on a number of forum discussions, reviews and runs from famous Youtubers. This can always change and if you feel like it is out of place, do mention it down in the comments below.

Take note that you can utilize any character, as it ultimately depends on the player. But as base characters, these criteria are taken into account; Boss Fight time taken, skill usefulness in boss fights and level clear, ease of synergy, variation of builds, and overall ease of using the character.
