TEKKEN 8 – Save File and Config File Location for PC

If you are not satisfied with the in-game settings of TEKKEN 8 or want to take a backup of the savefiles or restore them, you need to know the location for them on your PC. I will show you that in this guide.

TEKKEN 8 Save File Location

By default, the TEKKEN 8 Save File Location Should be here:

  • This PC > Local Disk (C:) > Users > *Your Username* > AppData > Local > TEKKEN 8 > Saved > SaveGames

This is your default savegame file location. This can change if you have Installed Steam in a different folder or the game. Usually, this is the one which you are looking for.

Make sure to take a backup of the saved game files before making any changes to them. In case of any mess up, you can copy and replace it with the backup file and all will be fine.

TEKKEN 8 Config File Location

By default, this is the config file location for Tekken 8:

  • This PC > Local Disk (C:) > Users > *Your Username* > AppData > Local > TEKKEN 8 > Saved > Config > Windows

The main file that most of the players want to change is called “GameUserSettings”. This is where you will find all the settings related to the graphics and visuals of the game. Change it to your liking. As usual, do take a backup before making any changes.

How To View AppData (Unhide it)?

To locate the above files, you need to open something called the “AppData” folder, which can be hidden for some of you. To unhide it, do the following (Windows 11):

  • Go to “View”
  • Head over to show.
  • Now, simply tick the “Hidden Items” option.

You should now be able to see the AppData Folder without any issues. For Windows 10 users, the view option should be located in the above bar. The rest of the process remains similar so you should not have much trouble.

Alternatively, you can also do the following:

  • Press Windows + R > Type “%appdata%” > Local > TEKKEN 8 > Saved

Unhide AppData Windows 11

The Windows + R does not work for me since I cannot find the TEKKEN 8 folder inside there. This can be different from yours. I use the normal path to find most of my savegames and config files if the developers have provided them for public use.

Thus, that is all the information I had for this guide. For more such posts, keep an eye on our TEKKEN 8 Guides section. Leave your comments and suggestions in the section below.
