One of the main reasons why Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge has been a hit is how the game plays. Its arcade-style graphics, and old-school vibes has been a big boost for players who love the four Turtles. Additionally, there are several returning bosses who make the game more interesting and challenging.
The likes of Dirtbag, Chrome Dome, and of course, the return of Metalhead. He is a unique boss, in that he has been paired with Donatello who programs or reprograms him.
However, in this game, Shredder has taken over Metalhead’s configuration, meaning he will start as a boss. Nevertheless, after being beaten, he will realize that the Turtles were his allies as always. The following guide will help players in navigating their way through to Metalhead and then defeating him.
TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge – How to reach Metalhead
The robotic turtle is the main boss of Episode 10, titled, “A Few Screws Loose.” Like with every Episode in the game, players have the chance to finish three playable challenges. These are not vital to your progression, but add to the challenges of playing the game. They are as follows:
- Throw enemies to crush a Foot Clan crate.
- Use Super Attacks to beat three Robots.
- Avoid taking damage from obstacles more than three times.
Additionally, there are also two secrets for players to go after. The number is quite less than what is found in other Episodes, except Episode 13 which also has two. They are listed below:
- Disgusting bug: It is present in a trashcan that is located in the middle of a car that is driven by a Foot Soldier and an open truck.
- VHS Tape: Once again, this is present within a crate that has a Foot Clan symbol, with the area also having the symbol spray-painted on the ground.
Having gone through all of it, you are ready to battle Metalhead in the finale.
TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge – How to beat Metalhead
Metalhead has three major attacks which will be a big challenge for the Turtles. A fast kick attack for when you get too near him. He is always mobile, meaning he can move anywhere on the map and can punch with his robotic arms.
The final series of attacks is similar to Chrome Dome, where he fires missiles from the back, while simultaneously using a laser barrier to shield himself. Additionally, he will also have Foot Clan soldiers alongside him.
Therefore, players have to be on the move with him too. Do not get close to him, and the best time to attack is when Metalhead gets to the centre. Use as many as attacks as possible to take down Metalhead. However, make sure to dodge the missiles and attacks in a clever manner.
