There are many people who have not updated their Windows software on PC but they still want to enjoy this fantastic game. So here’s my guide on that, check it out.

How To Run Aliens: Fireteam Elite On Windows 7

Instructions on how to run on Windows 7

Prerequisites that you must have: Windows 7 64-bit with up-to-date Windows Update, GPU, and other drivers. Firstly, navigate to your System32 folder (e.g. C:\Windows\System32).

From here, locate the “xinput1_3.dll” file. Copy “xinput1_3.dll” from your System32 directory and paste it into a different directory (e.g. you can do it in Desktop).

Rename the newly pasted “xinput1_3.dll” to “xinput1_4.dll”. Cut/copy and paste the now renamed “xinput1_4.dll” into your System32 directory.

Note that you MUST copy the file to another directory, and NOT attempt to rename the file within the System32 directory. Now you can play and enjoy the game on Windows 7!

Some troubleshooting tips: if you are unsuccessful at this you may need to restart your PC after making and copying the new .dll file.

Also be sure that your Windows 7 is as up-to-date as possible, particularly the .NET framework. Also, note that this workaround will enable many other “Windows 10 only” games to run on Windows 7.
