Destiny 2 | The Swarm – God Roll And How To Get

In Destiny 2, the Swarm is a legendary Heavy Machine Gun. It first appeared during the Season of the Chosen and has since returned as part of the Season of Defiance. This heavy weapon emphasizes high impact and damage over the rate of fire, emphasizing high impact and damage over the rate of fire. This page explains how to obtain The Swarm in Destiny 2 and what to look for in a The Swarm god roll.

The Swarm God Roll & How To Get In Destiny 2

The Season of Defiance has arrived, as has the We Stand Unbroken quest. Completing The Variable and Unfinished Business will also provide access to two new weapons, the Vexcaliber and Deterministic Chaos. Look out for the Lost Sector and King’s Fall challenge rotation schedules!

How To Get The Swarm In Destiny 2

The Swarm is a Nightfall weapon only available during the Nightfall Rotation. Timing is everything when it comes to farming The Swarm.

The primary weapon accessible at the end of a Nightfall changes every week. The Swarm is one of six weapons that can drop during the Season of Defiance Nightfall Rotation.

It is up to chance whether the weapon drops, but you do have the potential to push the scales in your favor. The Nightfall weapon drops more frequently as the difficulty increases, from Rare at the lowest to Common at the highest.

You can also equip the Prosperity (Vanguard) Ghost mod. This increases the possibility that playlist strikes and Nightfalls will drop another legendary gear upon completion. It’s never been confirmed that this includes the Nightfall weapons, but it appears to have an effect anecdotally.

The Swarm God Roll For Destiny 2

The Swarm is a high-damage monster. It’s ideal for destroying champions and dealing with massive DPS. The Swarm is designed to hit hard with each shot.

This makes it an excellent choice for clearing a room of ads and dealing targeted damage to monsters. A ‘god roll’ version of The Swarm uses the continuous fire of Heavy Machine Guns to make it a deadlier weapon the longer it remains on a target. In Destiny 2, here is our preferred The Swarm god roll:

  • Arrowhead Break
  • Tactical Mag
  • Dynamic Sway Reduction
  • Target Lock
  • Stunning Recovery

Arrowhead Break is a typical pick amongst barrels ideal for The Swarm. Controlling recoil makes staying accurate during long periods of sustained fire simpler. The improved handling makes it more feasible as an add-clearing tool in engagements with several targets.

Tactical Mag is fantastic. It improves stability, accuracy, and reload speed, which this weapon requires, and adds four rounds to the magazine. Can you shoot for a more extended period? Definitely, yes.

Dynamic Sway Reduction is where things start to get interesting. The longer you fire this weapon, the more precise and stable it becomes. This is effective against any hard target, but raid bosses have well-defined damage stages. It’s critical to unload all your shots precisely and at the appropriate time to maximize damage.

Target Lock is an excellent companion to Dynamic Sway Reduction. The longer your weapon is on target, the more damage it deals. With everything else designed to produce continuous, accurate fire, this becomes immensely strong against even the most tenacious foes.

Stunning Recovery is one of two Origin Traits that can be chosen. None of the solutions are particularly noteworthy. However, Stunning Recovery excels in specific circumstances. Stuning a Champion with it will half refill your magazine, improve recovery, and activate health regeneration. It’s situational, but fighting Champions is precisely the type of situation when having an advantage comes in handy.

As always, once you’ve found your favorite roll, please upgrade it to a Masterwork to give it a stat increase, the ability to create Orbs on multi-kills, and the choice of a kill tracker!
