In this guide, I will try to show you the best graphics settings for Evil Dead: The Game, along with the DLSS settings I used to get decent FPS. I hope the settings will fetch you good framerates and performance.
The Best Graphics Settings for Evil Dead: The Game
When it comes to graphics options for this game, I found it quite limited. However the small elements had a large impact when it came to the visuals. For that reason, every setting in this game is important and should be taken note of.

In-Game Graphics Settings for Evil Dead: The Game
As I mentioned earlier, I found the options to tweak quite limited. I wish there were more options to change a lot of elements that I would or would not want in the game. An example of this would be the unwanted motion blur I saw.
NVIDIA DLSS
Auto (This improved my framerates to some extent. After that, you can tweak the sharpness as per your liking)
DLSS Sharpness
0.7 (I found this to be the aptest for my eyes, This reduced the blurriness to some extent, but it was still there)
Display Mode
Fullscreen (For a game like this, you will want to play on fullscreen to experience it to the fullest)
View Distance
Medium (You can play on High, but Medium was fine for me, and I could see enemies from far even with medium settings)
Post Processing
High (This was changing the environment quite a bit. If you are running a medium-low-end system, set this to medium)
Shadows
Medium (This was the lowest I could go. This does take a lot of frames, so keep this to Medium or High if you are on an RTX 3080 or higher)
Textures
High (This makes the game look as good as your system can handle. Does take up some resources but is totally worth it)
Effects
Low (Effects do take up framerates, are and are known to fluctuate FPS as they happen, so keep it medium or low)
Shading
Medium ( I could not spot a large difference between High and Medium, but it was taking up a few frames, so this is Medium for me)
Vertical Synchronization
Off (Also called Vsync, this will lock your FPS to 60 if you keep this ON. Ideally if you are not facing fluctuations, turn this off)
Tessellation
On (This is totally GPU-centric setting. If you are not running an RTX Card, turn this off. This smoothens out edges even more.)

What System Did We Use To Test?
These are the system specs I used to test Evil Dead: The Game:
- GPU – RTX 3060Ti FE
- CPU – Ryzen 5 5600x
- RAM – 32GB DDR4 (@3000MHz)
- OS – Windows 10 64Bit
- Cooling – Liquid (240mm AIO)
- Storage – 1TB Nvme M.2 SSD
Results and More Tips for Performance
The game should not lag or stutter with the above or similar systems and settings. Still, you would want to do the following:
- Disable unwanted background apps
- Set Power Saving to High-performance
- Disable NVIDIA and/or Windows Game Bar
- Clean up your PC using any PC Cleaner (I personally use CCleaner)
- Keep your SSD and HDD in a Healthy State. This is quite a common but often overlooked step that causes major lag and stuttering issues.
- Cooling for your System should be top-notch.
With the above settings, I got an average FPS of about 145. For those of you who are running low to medium-end rigs, for example:
- GTX 1650, GTX 1660, GTX 1070 or a 1050Ti
- and for processors – i3, i5, i7, Ryzen 5 series processors
Keep the textures to medium and tessellation, along with post-processing to medium/low.
TIP! – You can tweak the resolution for the game by opening the Settings.ini file for Evil Dead: The Game. The Path should be
- AppData > Config > WindowsEditor – Located inside My PC > Your Username
