Starfield – Should You Give the Will to Frank or The Mayor?

You will encounter a mayor in charge in the year 2310. While interacting with Mayor Elias Cartwright, you will see he is an okay fellow, but there is some anger when he mentions the name of an individual called Frank Langston. So, what is going on, and what can you do to solve this brewing crisis?

Starfield – Should You Give the Will to Frank or The Mayor?

The reason for Mayor Elias Cartwright being huffy with Frank Langston is that the latter is using a house that the mayor believes should be rightfully owned by Blake Aldwell, who is an illegitimate heir.

Now, you will be faced with either handing over the will to Frank and allowing him to continue living there or bringing the will to Mayor Elias Cartwright to evict Frank Langston. Both are lucrative choices, but one is more beneficial regarding credits than the other.

Frank Langston will not want to leave his house and will resist any efforts to remove him. Given that he is extremely wealthy, Frank will offer you 10,000 Credits to cover his tracks and let him continue living there.

For players who think this may cause an issue with Mayor Elias Cartwright, worry not, as you can still lie to him about the will, and he will reward you with 5,500 Credits nonetheless.

That means players can make 15,500 Credits through this option, which is a lot in the game. However, Frank Langston is not a very fun character to be around, so players thinking of turning him in can choose not to go down this path.

Players who want to do the correct and honorable thing can bring the will to Mayor Elias Cartwright, who will be overjoyed that you have selected this option.

He will give you the 5,500 Credits, which is undoubtedly less than the earlier path, but you will be satisfied knowing you did the right thing.

Thus, that is all the information players will need regarding Starfield’s Last Will and Testament quest. The choices are straightforward, with the only thing being noted is which way you wish to go.

If you want to grab the most loot, the best way is to go behind Mayor Elias Cartwright’s back and join arms with Frank Langston.
